22 - Wanderlust

They sat quietly eating their Chinese food, Strike deep in thought as he consumed yet another egg roll.

“Penny for ‘em?” Robin asked.

“Do y’ever get the feeling that you could go see the world if you didn't have me? Because you deserve to see the world, Robin.”

She set her food down and walked to him, straddling his lap. She took his face in her hands and their eyes met.

“I do see the world. It's right here in front of me. You, London, the agency. This is my world.”

They kissed, and he knew she meant every word.
