Hello again, today I'm presenting you with another two of my familes, and they both have a special place at my heart as metalhead myself. Welcome String and Tune families, warning, this post will be long :)

My game is in Polish, so some names might sound a little funny in English, but I’ll do my best to keep the meaning behind them. I wrote their connenctions with other families, It will link them together after posting everyone.

String Family

Ancestors of Jack and Berry String

From the top left:

Julian (glasses) - son of Jack and Berry, younger brother of Gregory (Tune family) and Claudia, father of Danielle. Our neighborhood artist and photographer (he made every picture you can see in these posts :D), and also a backup synth player in his sister’s band. Julian spent all his younger years romancing every beautiful woman he met (Brigitte Doughnut, Martha Rozijin), even while being engaged to Katarina (from Doughnut family). She not only found out that he was cheating on her with some girl, but also that he had painted every woman he ever slept with.

It wasn’t his last meeting with Katarina, oh no. They met again during Sven’s wedding (from Cheescake family, Katarina's brother), where Julian was the photographer. How surprised Katarina was when she found her ex-fiancé hiding in a room with HER OWN MOTHER, Violetta, during the wedding party.

He is currently living in a renovated basement, next to his art room that nobody besides him can enter. His look at life changed after one of his “nightstand girls” left a baby in front of his door. He absolutely got enchanted by Danielle and now wants to be the best father ever., his whole outlook at life changed. He’s deeply sad that his mother, Berry, wasn’t able to meet his daughter as Danielle is basically her grandma’s clone. He’s super regretful about cheating on Katarina and thinks he never deserved her. He still hopes she’s happy.

Lately, he’s been spending more and more time with Brigitte again. She’s also raising her teenage daughter Patricia alone, and Julian sometimes wonders if maybe they should finally make things serious create a little patchwork family together. Unfortunately, he got into some financial trouble (–30k) at work, so he will probably still live in the basement for a while.

Danielle (toddler) - daughter of Julian, little sweetheart. She sometimes wonders where her mommy is, but who needs a mommy when you have two such cool aunts? Danielle loves to look at the stars she has on her ceiling and often dreams about touching the moon. She’s the absolute apple of her family’s eye her aunts and uncles adore her and spoil her every chance they get. Everyone says she’s almost a copy of her late grandma Berry, not only in looks but also in her cherfull personality and the way she loves cats.

Bart (teen) - adopted son of Yvone and Claudia. Dog lover and biggest fan of his mom Claudia. He thinks he’s super lucky to live in such a talented family. He also has a natural talent for music and already started learning drums. He wishes his mother Yvone could be a bit nicer and more open with him. He sings lullabies for Danielle and treats her like his little sister.

Bart is curious and adventurous, he loves exploring the neighborhood and meeting new people. Sometimes, while wandering near the woods, he thinks he glimpses a strange figure: a woman with long red hair, moving silently among the trees. He never gets a good look at her and quickly forgets, thinking it was just the shadows or his imagination. Despite being young, he already has a sharp sense of humor and often makes the adults laugh with his witty remarks. He’s fiercely loyal to his family and would do anything to protect them, especially Danielle. He often “motherizes” his little dogs, making sure they’re happy and cared for, and regularly calls his cousin Joanna (from Tune family) to ask how Rubi (sister of Opal, daughter of Amethyst) is doing.

Yvone (green hair) - wife of Claudia, mother of Bart, aka Ivy Butler. Drummer and co-owner of Bad Liquor, her and Claudia’s successful punk band. Yvone is also doing some illegal business on the side, but nobody knows about it. She agreed to adopt Bart but can’t really find a common language with him. In general, she’s antisocial besides her niece and wife, she prefers spending time with the family dogs.

Yvone also had a long-standing conflict with Claudia’s brother, Gregory. For years, they literally couldn’t stand each other, but after many years of arguing and fighting, they finally stopped beating each other up and things are much calmer now. She might end up in prison one day for a small mistake in her “work”, but she just can’t stop living without a bit of adrenaline. Often takes part in illegal motorcycle rides. Yvone often misses the days when she could perform freely, the adrenaline of concerts, the screaming fans, the energy of Bad Liquor. She hopes that they can come back to touring after Bart and Danielle grow up.

Claudia (red mohawk) - daughter of Jack and Berry, sister of Gregory (Tune family) and Julian, wife of Yvone, mother of Bart.

My favorite Sim. Frontwoman, guitarist, and vocalist of Bad Liquor, the band she created back in her Uni days. I imagine they add a little bit of synth to their punk music. She was super talented and musical from her toddler years, and her father started teaching her further. She remembers her musician parents always struggling with money, so when her gigs and first album started to be successful, she gave all the money back to her parents.

As a teenager, Claudia was super rebellious, trying to figure herself out. She often got in trouble, escaped in the middle of the night for parties, metal gigs and often was caught by the police for dangerous and unmature things she did with Yvone. Her parents were very worried about her future, thinking she will end in bad place. Claudia has tendency to give her all, either in her music, her shows or her family, she was always overly fixated on thigs she does. She also often quarrels with her lawyer, Eliza (from Cheescake family), but despite her fiery personality and strong opinions, Claudia is incredibly liked in the village.

She has kinda unusual, long-lasting friendship with Agnes (from Bagguete family), somehow the girls always found common language and Claudia helped Agnes to come put of her shell. On the other hand, Claudia always HATED Brigitte (from Doughnut family), fighting with her for years, and absolutely cannot stand the fact that her brother Julian is even interested in such woman, gross.

Sometimes she doesn’t believe she ended up with her teenage sweetheart Yvone, especially since she had a super passionate romance with her band’s bassist Chris during her on-and-offs with Yvone.

Clauida deeply misses her parents every day, she is happy to have her brother Julian by her side and in general, keeps close contact with Gregory, Edith, Joanna and Lilian (from Dumpling family). Even after years in the spotlight and lots of shows and money earned, Claudia stays humble. Late at night, after making sure Danielle and Bart are taken care of, she locks herself in her basement studio, writing lyrics, listening to some old-school death metal (maybe Obituary) while smoking a cigarette, as she plans her biggest album and tour yet... She’s fiercely loyal, protective of her family, and still wears the same black leather jacket she bought as a teen, now patched and worn, but her personal lucky charm.

Tune Family

Ancestors of Ophelia and Raphael Tune, and of Jack and Berry String, owners of Mocha Mayhem, a metal music café. They live in subhood downtown, a neighborhood I built from scratch (more on that in the next post).

Jack String (father of Gregory, Claudia, and Julian) and Ophelia Tune (mother of Edith), had a band together for years. (they also played with Finn Cheescake) That’s why these 2 families are so closely connected, heavier music basically runs through their veins. ;D

Joanna (blonde) - daughter of Edith and Gregory, younger sister of Lilian (from Dumpling family), and the biggest tomboy in the whole neighborhood. Joanna grew up close friends with Rosalie and Max (from Bagguete family) since kindergarten. She always had a crush on Rosalie, but knew Rosalie didn’t feel the same way.

Feeling a little hopeless, she decided to give Max a chance. After all, they had been friends forever, and their relationship was sweet at first. But when Max wanted to move things along faster than Joanna was ready for, she freaked out and threw him out in the middle of the night.

The real shock came when Joanna visited the Bagguetes’ house to apologize and officially break up with Max only to find Rosalie, completely changed, running straight into her arms. Overjoyed and surprised, Joanna finally let out all her hidden feelings. Max, unfortunately, walked into the corridor right then, causing a huge fight between him, Rosalie, their parents, and Joanna trying to separate them. Joanna wishes she could have ended things with Max on friendly terms, but she doesn’t regret a thing, she is madly in love with Rosalie and can’t wait until they move in together.

Besides breaking hearts, Joanna is passionate about fixing cars, often helping her father with renovations. She loves dogs, and the feeling is mutual. One day, she plans on training guide or medical dogs. Joanna doesn’t fully understand why Rosalie changed so much, but she promises to always protect her and be by her side. And Joanna always keeps her promises...

Edith (black hair) - daughter of Ophelia and Raphael Tune, wife of Gregory, mother of Lilian and Joanna, and quite possibly the most beautiful woman in the neighborhood. Her facecard never declines.

Edith was a happy accident between her parents, who were just meeting for fun. Her father Raphael decided to move in after she was born and became the best dad, treating Edith like a little princess. He eventually married Ophelia while Edith was a teen.

She fondly remembers her mother, who often took her to the studio and to musical jams at the café next door. Edith had a natural ear for music and a gift for guitar and vocals, which eventually made her a highly successful studio musician. She also contributed to her sister-in-law Claudia’s music albums. After years of saving, and with a little bonus from Claudia, Edith finally bought the café her mother had once jammed in. She just wishes her parents could see it today.

Her relationship with Gregory began as a long childhood friendship. Neither could find someone who cared about them for more than their looks, so eventually, they decided to try being together and it was the best decision of their lives. They now live happily, understanding each other so well that they can communicate without words. Edith is close to both their daughters and her husband’s family. She sometimes wishes she had siblings. These days, she focuses on building their business, maybe one day she’ll open a music cafe in Ciemnogrod too?

Gregory (brown hair) - son of Jack and Berry String, brother of Julian and Claudia (String family), husband of Edith, father of Lilian and Joanna. Our amateur mechanic and technical music assistant.

Gregory remembers living in tiny room with his siblings while his parents struggled financially. He was bullied for wearing simple second-hand clothes, until one little girl with a black braid stood up for him. That’s how he met Edith, and they became friends for years.

Gregory was handsome, and after working as a teen, buying a leather jacket, and riding a motorcycle, he quickly caught the attention of many girls. But after meeting some of them, he realized they weren’t interested in his personality. He finally tried his luck with Edith, and it was the best choice of his life. He loves his wife and daughters dearly and taught them to be strong and independent.

Gregory has always been a car enthusiast, starting in his teens. He loves digging into old cars, and his proudest accomplishment is renovating a Pontiac GTO, which he almost treats like a family member (you can see it at the family picture). Gregory had a long feud with Yvone. After she got Claudia in trouble, he was convinced she was trouble itself, always into shady stuff, dabbling in substances and petty crime, the kind of person you’d call “born under a bad star.” He was extremely surprised when Claudia became successful in her music career and not only renovated her parents’ home but also helped buy the café Gregory and Edith had always wanted.

He is super proud of his younger sister and constantly brags about her being a star. His relationship with Yvone has improved somewhat, but he still doesn’t fully trust her. Gregory always thought his younger brother had problems with women, and while he is glad Julian has finally matured, he can’t help but think with a smirk, that it probably won’t last long.
