The oldest known cello in the world is "The King" made by Italian instrument maker Andrea Amati (c. 1505 - 26 December 1577) around mid-16th century AD in Cremona, Italy.
It was part of a set of 38 stringed instruments made for the court of King Charles IV of France.

I’m finally starting to see progress on self teaching myself bass and I’m SO excited. These photos are from when I first got it in April and I haven’t been very consistent with playing but part of that is because of how small our place is and we also have a roommate (and I have executive dysfunction lmao)
But I’ve been practicing more lately and I can play a few songs pretty ok/almost perfect but I still don’t know the fretboard fully so I took a step back and am now trying to better learn them first before fully going into more songs!
That way I can better play by ear and not rely on tabs and also feel more confident.
I played flute & a lil piano for 15 years so I’m used to sheet music and stuff but I am so used to treble clef that bass clef is so foreign to me haha. But I’ll get there!! And stringed is also so different from keys but I love experiencing the joy of learning a new instrument all over again, I feel like I’m 9 again 💙
Once I’m more confident I’d love to post videos on here or on my YouTube of covers, there’s SO many songs I wanna cover hahaha
Just know you CAN do it! And if one way isn’t working, maybe step back and try to find another way that could work better for you. Pluck or use a pick, use one finger or two, use tabs/sheet music or play by ear. Whatever works for you!! And this doesn’t just apply to music ✨
I’ve been unmedicated with audhd my whole life and always felt like I was behind because I was always trying to do things one way. But finding ways to accommodate yourself is so essential for your own growth
