35 years ago, on the last Monday of February, I was diagnosed with T1 Diabetes. Some remember the exact date. I have yet to look it up on a calendar from long ago, or do a search in the internet. The date doesn’t really matter. It was a day of acceptance to how my life would change. I was fortunate as I recognized the symptoms and was able to be diagnosed in the doctor’s office after a fasting blood sugar validated what was suspected at an early afternoon appointment the Friday before that said my blood sugar was over 500. I believe my fasting blood sugar was in the 200’s. . All that being said,...each and every day, I strive to live the healthiest I can and am constantly researching how to help others and myself to be their healthiest. #mindbodysoul #t1dlookslikeme #35yearsoftoughness #striveforprogressnotperfection #proactivehealth https://www.instagram.com/p/CLnbzBWhPMW/?igshid=1wag0e7b3pbon
