So I was walking around Bangsar today

and found that the better looking bus/taxi stands were made by Stroer. I also noticed that most of the billboard ad stands were by Stroer as well. 

I went home and did a little googling and found that DBKL awarded Stroer a 15-year contract to replace up to 1,320 bus and taxi shelters over the next four to five years! [Article].

I guess this partnership is akin to NYC & Cemusa or Toronto & Astral. 

The problem is that the article was written over 4 years ago but I only saw 2 bus/taxi shelters from Stroer in Bangsar! WTF happened?

Another thing, why is it that the neither DBKL nor Stoer published their street furniture designs for the public to see (like NYC and Toronto, as shown in the links above)? Doesn't the public have a say in this matter? I guess not. 

I say, bring back local council election for more transparency!
