I think that's more than leaning, Chuuya....
-- ☆ Blue-ish Black Darkness ☆ --
"Chuuya advanced through the darkness. It wasn't clear whether he was progressing through time or space. He didn't know if this even was a physical place or a conceptual darkness representing the afterlife."

I lost the orginal excerpt i wanted to use (smart of me to just draw without checking first) but this is around the time Chuuya is being shown the Memory of the facility outbreak via Verlaine and Rimbaud, unconscious inside the beast that Verlaine was in that moment - i originally was inspired by an excerpt along the lines of "black spouts rushed by Chuuya" but errr yeahhh
both works i guess, anyways it has been a bit and this was comfy to draw
(i yapped a bit too much)

Light Novels Masterlist
Osamu Dazai’s Entrance Exam:
Doppo Kunikida is an idealist and a straitlaced detective at the Armed Detective Agency, an organization that takes on dangerous jobs even the police won't handle. Everything in his life is going just as he's planned...until one day, he's paired up with the agency's newest hire: a suspicious, eccentric, suicide-obsessed man named Osamu Dazai. Their first case together turns out to be far more complicated than Kunikida anticipated — and it looks like the detective agency's sworn enemy, the Port Mafia, is somehow involved, too!
Set two years before the events of the manga series, this is the tale of how two seemingly incompatible personalities end up forming the partnership that has made them one of Yokohama's top detective duos.

First of all, I really appreciate people who started following me because of these light novels, but I'll be honest. As it turned out my Wattpad account was taken down because of these light novels, and I'm scared that the same would happen if I would update them here as well, so I'm thinking of not risking this account as well, and would not continue to do so, but just in case I change my mind... For now, enjoy whatever is available, and if you want more, I can send you links for reading these novels directly ❤️
@sci2946 WAKE UP STROMBRINGER IS GONNA BE A MANGA
I'M SO EXCITED
Another Elric from a while ago. Just a big fan of that “no pants, seductively stroking sword”-look he had going in the 70′s ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We need to discuss the trauma Chuuya went through in Storm Bringer
When he holds the clone/original of himself as he is choking to death and melts into nothing but a skeleton in his arms??? He’s 16! 16! That scene haunts me to my core.
Something I'm incredibly curious about in regards to Chuuya's biological fam is what the dynamic between him and his father was like. I just noticed how in the art Chuuya doesn't look particularly happy in the image. He's holding someone's (I'm assuming dad...) hand and yet...there isn't a smile for the camera.
I can't help but wonder if that was intentional because Asagiri has chosen to write Chuuya's dynamic with his father in a sort of mirror of IRL Chuuya's relationship with his father which... wasn't great.
