In Abrahamic mythology, Cain carries his brother’s body after killing him, wandering the empty earth, lost and helpless, to escape his mortal sin. He thinks of what to do with his brother, nobody has ever died at that point. While he wallows in sorrow and regret for what he did, he saw two crows fighting in the distance. He observed as one crow killed the other, it started digging a hole in the dirt and placed its deceased opponent in that hole and covered it back up with dirt. Cain was astonished by what he just saw, wondering why the crow would do such a thing. He looks at his brother’s cold dead eyes and gently placed him on the ground, and began to dig a hole in the dirt just like the crow did, and placed his brother in it. Abel became the first person to have a burial in human history. Buried by his own twin brother.
