I’ve been blasting through Europe. The journey from Portugal to Turkey is just literally moving my human body one step closer. My heart is not in Europe anymore and I just want to be in the Middle East! Are we there yet?! Goodness
But things still happen along the way. Humans never cease to amaze me. As I left Kosovo, I was riding through North Macedonia when I realized I was out of chain lube. I stopped by this shop in Strumica and these guys were so nice to me. I must have looked especially haggard this day as they offered me a drink. I asked for a Coke with my chain lube. When I asked how much, the owner, Ilija, said don’t worry about it. Gahhh! 🥺 He even tried to gift me chain cleaner, but I laughed and said I gave up on cleaning a loOong time ago 😹
Freyja and I are almost to Turkey. I took this day as a loving send off from Europe saying don’t forget about us, we still love you and will be here for you if you want to return.
