Sit Tight Take Hold - Nieded

Think this is my prettiest bind to date 😍

It's a fantastic feeling when your family member says they're interested in reading a piece of fanfiction you love that they're not in the Fandom for 👏👀

Also it's fantastic to be able to bind works instead of having to sacrifice your soft covers to the mercy of spine benders 👏💀 like heck am I letting anyone bend my physical copies I got from @nieded 😂 they're far too precious!

Typeset isn't mine. It was charity purchased through Nieded (both original physical and digital copies). Inside is printed black and white so not as pretty as my soft backs which are full colour. Homemade book cloth, wanted to do a lighter background with rainbow/holographic htv but haven't got any, not disappointed with the outcome at all though! Went kinds penguin clothbound classic adjacent as been really itching to give that style of cover a go at least once!

Takeaways;

- Getting better with the trims but man sharpening the chisel takes mental effort to find gumption to do

- Tried out a slightly different method for measuring the grey board and overall happy with it

- Still a learning process casing in without it going skewed on me

Thanks again @nieded for creating such a wonderful story and doing the charity run for the prints as well as digital copies! My mum used to watch alot of F1 so to be able to share this work with her is a real treat!

Short summary/description: After all the Upside Down stuff is wrapped up in Hawkins, Steve, Robin, Nancy, Jonathan and Argyle move into an apartment together to start their adult lives. Eddie decides to go onto an extended road trip all over the country. He keeps in contact, mostly, until he doesn't and everyone starts getting worried. But then he shows up unannounced to crash on their couch. That helps Steve realise some things about himself, his roommates and Eddie.

Eddie hadn’t been back since he left, but he did send postcards from time to time, when he found a funny one, or went to a particularly weird place, like the time he sent them a postcard from Slaughter Beach. Sometimes Eddie even called them. Not often, and the calls were always short, but they always crowded around the phone and shouted things at him. That usually meant they didn’t get much more information than where Eddie was currently while he got treated to whatever little squabble was going on in their home currently. Steve was always looking forward to the next postcard or the next call, and he hated when he missed one of them. Once, Eddie had called while Steve was home alone and they had been able to have an actual conversation. Well, at least until Eddie’s change had run out.

Okay, the current plan is to finish MTOW (for @stiles-o-dylan24, @emoryhemsworth, @fanficocean, and @deanmonandnegansbitch💖) within the next few days, add it to the queue, jump to OLAT (the Gabriel fic I announced earlier, but I can’t remember who for aside from @stiles-o-dylan24), finish that, and then move on to STTH (for @twdeadlysins, @thanossexual, @thatcucumberwhore, @apolloloki97, @sourwolf-sterek32, @donttelltheelf-x, etc.). After that, I move on to other WIPs. Sound good?

These are the five main characters from a game I’ve been wanting to make called Serenade to the Heavens, about five school girls working together to accomplish a goal. I have a lot of great ideas for the mechanics, but making this game is currently way more than I can handle right now, so it’ll sit on the back burner until I can maybe make a team and have a bigger following.
