Really, Jean-Luc, I almost give my life for you and you still wonder if I'm truly on your side?
Okay, okay, I can see why you'd think that. I hadn't exactly done anything by that point to really warrant your friendship or even your trust. But despite what I told you, I didn't almost get myself killed to save you and your starship solely because I couldn't bear being human any longer. I'll give you three guesses as to what my most compelling reason was. I still adore games, after all. And I think the answer to this one is rather obvious.
I feel once more that I should thank you for allowing me to stay on the Enterprise during that fiasco, so- thank you, mon capitaine. And for attempting to save my life, even if it was only to get your shuttle back, or your distaste for the idea of preventable death. I hadn't imagined at all that you would. I honestly believed that you would take my sacrifice and be done with all of it. I am, as ever, glad that you did not.
See you out there, Q (#🤍💥, Star Trek: The Next Generation)
