Sea, I wish I could find it again, but a couple of years ago in the UK there was a Radio 4 interview with an artist manager (I think he was Ed Sheeran's) who talked about the challenges of managing artists who grow up in the spotlight, and the very factor of 'arrested development' that meant that he was managing someone in their 20s who was still emotionally in their teens, who hadn't grown up in the usual way. It was very enlightening. I'll go and search it out again in the next few days.

It’s really pretty illuminating. This is the difference between treating a musician as a celebrity/cash cow and treating him as a creative artist.
