everything noodles
with tips ive picked up from pretty much everyone ive ever seen make noodles, and a bunch of bs i made up myself
first chuck all the instant noodles and flavour packets in a wok. or a massive pan if you dont have a wok. at this point i also chuck in pretty much all my seasoning. boil a full kettle rn if u want them to cook quicker later.
i like to use an extra chicken or veggie stock cube, and all of these guys. when i dont have proper chillies to cut up i just use extra chilli flakes. i use dried chillies, wet chillies, whatever.
BOOM now put in all the boiled water or just regular water, which will eventually boil bc this is when you turn on the heat. do this regardless of how hot your water is to start with. now im gonna chop a load of veggies. from my experience, you can use literally whatever.
cut bell peppers like halloween pumpkins to get all the seeds out at once. chop everything pretty small so it can get cooked fast. im also using baby carrots and (not pictured) radishes from my garden, and baby corn. icl, thinly sliced radish is THE single best ingredient i've ever put in a ramen. the texture gets sooo good.
i also rubbed some pre-cooked chicken chunks in my fav chilli and lime seasoning and threw them in. the chicken's optional, at least to me- i mean pretty much all of this is.
i always cut up spring onions for garnish, which i add last and dont cook!! these ones are from my garden! see also: my sibling's very uhhh avant-garde chopping technique...
the noodles are pretty much done now but i always top with a fried egg. you can make these in a pan ofc but if youre pressed on space/time/pans, you can make em in the microwave.
cover a paper plate (disposable = less washing up. also ive never tried it with thicker plates so idk if thats safe) in oil. this is too much oil but thats ok cus ill use the same plate for 2 eggs before throwing it out. if ur fast enough you dont need a cup to crack an egg, just whack it on the table and open it over the plate.
keep it uncovered until its in the microwave!!! ive made the mistake before of covering it too early and egg getting Everywhere. once it's in there, whack a second paper plate upside down on top of it, and i tend to let it go for 50 seconds. my microwave is 800W so you might wanna adjust depending on your microwave/how done you want it. i like my egg a little undercooked.
it's not gonna be pretty! but mixed into the noodles while you eat, who cares? by the time i made 4 eggs, the veg had enough time to get soft. if ur just making noodles for 1, maybe just get real distracted after u put the veg in so it can simmer.
i serve w this thing. round spoons are just a slip-n-slide for noodles.
this thing's just for picking up extra sauce.
add ur garnishes and enjoy some delicious spicy noods!!
