This is the film Bush League by Cy Kuckenbaker, who I will be representing at NACA West this year.  He's road from Fulbright scholar to Peace Corps to filmmaker is perfect for college audiences.  He can also talk to specific groups about filmmaking, multiculturalism and his experiences in Malawi and Lithuania.

Bill Carter is a personal hero and friend, and I will be representing him at NACA West this year.  I first learned of him after reading his amazing memoir "Fools Rush In" about his experience delivering aid and teaming up with Bono and U2 during the Bosnian War.  I would certainly not be doing what I am now if I hadn't read that book and been inspired to leave the corporate world ... it's hands down the most amazing tale I've ever come across and PERFECT for all college audiences.  I've worked with him to set up gigs at Harvard, NYU, The University of Washington, Portland State, Clark College, Pacific University - and many more festivals and assorted book signings.  He's just come out with a new book titled "Boom, Bust, Boom: A Story About Copper, The Metal That Runs The World."  It's a must read for anyone curious about one of the most ubiquitous (and profitable) metals in the world - and all of the history, politics, environmental and humanitarian angles and controversies that follow.  If you're concerned about copper mining, the 1872 Mining Law or Pebble Mine in Alaska, this is must read.
