I don’t use this as a standalone textbook, but it’s honestly one of the most useful grammar references I’ve found for the A1–B1 level.

It’s structured to make it easy to revisit specific points when reviewing or filling in gaps—clear explanations, good example sentences, and enough nuance to help things stick without being overwhelming!

I treat it more like a grammar dictionary + workbook hybrid. I usually go back to it when I’m feeling unsure about a structure I’ve seen before, or when I want to make sure I fully understand a pattern I’ve encountered in native content.

Not a beginner "learn from zero" book, but very solid as a companion or revision tool alongside other materials.

If you're somewhere between basic and intermediate and want a grammar guide that’s actually usable (and not dry or overly academic), I’d say this is worth having!

Tried to study on the train to Edinburgh and promptly fell asleep. I think I've had about 10 hours of sleep total across the entire weekend and have destroyed a forests worth of trees in my pursuit of competitive debating. No wins today, but I got to reminisce with a friend and make new ones. Test tomorrow that I'm a) unprepared for and b) unprepared for.

Philologists, i need your help and recommendations!

I'm a belarusian 16 year old guy, who graduated from high school in june 2026. So i want to become a philologist, especially literary philologist. And I'm gonna go to pre master degree to belarusian philology. Well that means i will study belarusian language, belarusian literature, the history of belarusian literature, also a lot of culture classes and a lot of more like that

And i am confused now because after finishing my pre degree i don't wanna go to work like just as a teacher of belarusian language and literature to just the regular school. I wanna go to master degree and after it to PhD and etc.

Well, what is my problem. All my life i have been learning foreign languages: English, mandarin chinese (they're my two basic languages which i am learning now), polish, finish, norwegian, spanish and etc. So i am so confused because i don't know can i go to master degree or phd not in a belarusian philology or just for example classics, english or german philology? And i want to study master degree and phd in England, US or in taiwan for example. So i want to be a literary philologist, who has knowledge in all world literature (or in just belarusian/slavic literature and in european). And i need recommendations about it

I wish i was a literature teacher in private school or private college like Mr Keating from dead poets society or like Julian Morrow from the secret history by Donna Tartt

What do you think about it and can i do it?

First day of GCSE grind

Today I was so locked in YIPPE!

I did wake up an hour late for school but I did make it on time.

I had my spanish test today and the writing position did not go well at all however my Spanish teacher is letting me have a second chance tomorrow. So I spent some time studying for it today

todays accomplishments

Revised all my first topics for block 2

actually worked on my art homework early

studied my designated hours

saw my crush after school and he looked adorbs

just felt good about my productivity

did some extra math practice

but tomorrow

Music coursework day so I have to make sure to bring my laptop and charger in cause the schools computer doesn’t have my music program

my RS teacher claims that she doesn’t have my book which is totally not true cause I wasn’t in class when she gave it back and I need to do my homework

Need to work on my script and code for art (yes for art I swear)

clean my room it’s getting cluttered

do my art homework

study !!!!
