idk, there's something comforting about studying at a desk full of your efforts

p.s. studytok
chatgpt started getting popular when i was around 16-17 and out of pure wonder and also senioritis, i began relying on it heavily. while i completely stopped using it for university assignments out of fear of ai detectors, using ai during such a critical period of my learning is something i regret so much. i still feel the effects of it to this day and find myself staring at a google doc (or even when im making a text post) because i just get so stuck and empty-headed when trying to put my thoughts into words.
it’s such a frustrating feeling and it makes me feel so fucking stupid. my writing used to be something i took so much pride in and i would actually look forward to writing assignments in my younger years. i deeply mourn the writer i could have been had i not succumbed to my own laziness in high school. i genuinely cannot observe any improvement with my writing between the ages of 15 and now. hell, i might have been an even better writer at 15 lol. the point is, i seriously fucked up my ability to communicate due to 1.5 years of regular chatgpt usage for academic purposes. i truly cannot imagine what the state of young writers is now :(
The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.
