🔥Some new supplies for next semester!
The colder tones are harder to see on each other, but individually they all look nice!
Marshall’s and TJ Maxx has some of the cutest stationery tbh. I’d recommend their planners the most.
Made a few purchases for my second year (!) of grad school! Keep in mind that I definitely re-use a lot of my school supplies, from binders to folders, so there weren’t too many things I needed to stock up on. But still, one of my favorite parts of going back to school has always been shopping for supplies, so I thought I’d share my purchases with you!
Cactus Canvas Pencil Pouch: I don’t know why, but cacti have definitely been up my ally the past few months! I bought a set of pencil cases from this company almost four years ago, and they’re still holding up! But this being my last year in school, I wanted to treat myself to something fun and new!
Pilot G2 Retractable Roller Ball Pens: This is my third pack of these pens since I began grad school! They’re perfect for taking notes, but I find myself even using them for my planners and bullet journal.
Five Star Spiral Notebooks: I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t know these were graph paper notebooks when I purchased them! I guess I was too distracted by the great price. But, I don’t regret my decision one bit! The graph paper keeps my notes neat and clean and I’m able to fit so much on one page. I picked up three of these!
GANSSIA Mechanical Pencils: Unfortunately the black set of these pencils that I purchased isn’t available any longer. But I do love the pastel collection! I generally don’t use pencils too often, but I’m taking a course that’s out of my comfort zone, and I want to be prepared for anything!
Rifle Paper Co. 17 Month Agenda: I honestly have three planners (the other two being from Day Designer and Sugar Paper Co.), but no matter what, I always go back to my spiral Rifle Paper Co. planner! I’m currently still using the 2017 edition, but I definitely see myself purchasing this one for 2018. I love how much space is dedicated to every day, the weekly inspirational quotes, and the storage pocket. And I don’t need to tell you how gorgeous it is! (I plan on doing a review of all the planners I’ve had in a future post...)
Burt’s Bees Eye Makeup Remover Pads: I have to admit, I rarely leave the house without makeup. But after long days of work and studying, the first thing I want to do is take all my makeup off -- easily. I haven’t tried these pads yet, but I’m excited to see if they’ll become a staple of my night routine!
So there you have it! There are my school supplies for the Fall 2017 term. I’m sure I’ll pick up a few more things throughout the semester, but I’m very pleased with what I’ve gotten so far! I’ve been stalking the #school supplies hashtag lately...Let’s start this semester with a bang!
Hi!! What kind of supplies do you usually buy? And which apps for studying and time management do you recommend? Thank you =D
Hello friend!! ♡♡
In my list of must have supplies are:
black gel pen
mechanical pencil 0.5mm lead
regular black pens
coloured fineliners (optional but a must to make notes)
post its
lined paper
Without these I can’t study, I can’t work. But as you can see nothing fancy and no specific brands because I’m not rich as I said before
Apps for studying I recommend:
Khan Academy - for really useful explanation videos of tons of subjects.
Google Docs / Google Slides - for creating or viewing documents or powerpoints (notes, projects, ..) with a simple efficient cloud system, awesome templates, useful for group projects, automatic save and other great features. The Google slides app is great for practicing presentations with PowerPoint!
AnkiApp - of course, my favorite memorization tool.
Everything else I’ve been doing on paper! Though I do believe this year that’s going to change and I’m going to need to go more digital, since in university things get more intense… so I’m going to be able to recommend a lot more next year! :)
Apps for time management:
I don’t believe any app can force you to do work and manage your time, you have to know how to discipline yourself. There’s no magic formula or trick an app can provide you unfortunately, it’s just sitting down and starting to work when it’s time to work.. That’s why I haven’t stuck with any of those apps so far, I don’t find any of them actually useful to be really honest!
The longest time I’ve stuck with an app was with Forest and it was basically because I liked to track my time studying (it blocks your phone for certain periods of time) and enjoyed seeing the graphics week by week.
I don’t use it anymore though! (I hope it’s still free!) Also I read in some instagram post they are planting actual real life trees for time people spend focused with their app, but I haven’t looked it up (if it’s true that’s ABSOlutely fabulous!!).
Also you could find Google Calendars useful for planning your time, though I prefer doing that on paper. I’ve tried going digital before, and I’m probably going to try again soon, but it doesn’t give me the same satisfaction as keeping track with my paper planner.
Have a great day or evening! You’re welcome, hope you enjoy my suggestions! Xxx

Working on my essay plan for my Media Texts and Audience class while listening to vinyls. I find there’s something refreshing out of writing in a composition book, which is why I use these for university. It might be because I’m British and they aren’t as much a thing over here, but I love them. I brought 7 back with me when I went to California last summer so I’d have enough for all my semesters during my undergraduate university course. They’re just so cheap but practical, I know this one I’m using cost 50 cents, which is like 40p in England!
