Hi!! What kind of supplies do you usually buy? And which apps for studying and time management do you recommend? Thank you =D
Hello friend!! ♡♡
In my list of must have supplies are:
black gel pen
mechanical pencil 0.5mm lead
regular black pens
coloured fineliners (optional but a must to make notes)
post its
lined paper
Without these I can’t study, I can’t work. But as you can see nothing fancy and no specific brands because I’m not rich as I said before
Apps for studying I recommend:
Khan Academy - for really useful explanation videos of tons of subjects.
Google Docs / Google Slides - for creating or viewing documents or powerpoints (notes, projects, ..) with a simple efficient cloud system, awesome templates, useful for group projects, automatic save and other great features. The Google slides app is great for practicing presentations with PowerPoint!
AnkiApp - of course, my favorite memorization tool.
Everything else I’ve been doing on paper! Though I do believe this year that’s going to change and I’m going to need to go more digital, since in university things get more intense… so I’m going to be able to recommend a lot more next year! :)
Apps for time management:
I don’t believe any app can force you to do work and manage your time, you have to know how to discipline yourself. There’s no magic formula or trick an app can provide you unfortunately, it’s just sitting down and starting to work when it’s time to work.. That’s why I haven’t stuck with any of those apps so far, I don’t find any of them actually useful to be really honest!
The longest time I’ve stuck with an app was with Forest and it was basically because I liked to track my time studying (it blocks your phone for certain periods of time) and enjoyed seeing the graphics week by week.
I don’t use it anymore though! (I hope it’s still free!) Also I read in some instagram post they are planting actual real life trees for time people spend focused with their app, but I haven’t looked it up (if it’s true that’s ABSOlutely fabulous!!).
Also you could find Google Calendars useful for planning your time, though I prefer doing that on paper. I’ve tried going digital before, and I’m probably going to try again soon, but it doesn’t give me the same satisfaction as keeping track with my paper planner.
Have a great day or evening! You’re welcome, hope you enjoy my suggestions! Xxx
