Culmets an Aesthetic
Science of Love / Love of Science
Hugh Culber & Paul Stamets
(Star Trek Discovery)
5.9.2018
Ooh look my first drawing of the space boos! Just let them be happy.
So having read a couple of interviews with Anthony Rapp where he’s expressed his appreciation for DS9 (saying that Disco and DS9 ‘share DNA’, pointing out that the O’Brians had some good ‘married moments’ not so different from the toothbrush scene), I’m thinking this might have been an acting choice :)
@ discovery show us the gays, you cowards
thank you for the canon interracial mlm couple. i love it, and i love them.
now fucking show them to us
you don’t get points for giving us scraps
i want hugh and paul to kiss. i want them to hold hands. i want them to eat together. i want culber to notice that stamets is acting strangely, because they’re in a relationship, and if tilly can notice that stamets is in a bad place, hugh ought to notice as well
please, just,,, just put wilson cruz in a scene with anthony rapp, and let! them! be! a! couple!
and not to be that person, but i’m going to be that person. if you can show michael and ash kissing before they’re even a couple, you can show the established gay couple kissing, too
Star Trek Discovery episode 9
Whoooooo I didn't think Admiral Cornwell was still alive! I'm SO glad to be proven wrong! She's such an interesting and strong character!
I'm really amazed at how Star Trek Discovery is showing not only actual PTSD but also the trauma of a male survivor of sexual abuse in such a dignified and well handled manner. This is amazing.
That said, let me finish my restrospection of this episode with this heart-felt plea: "PLEASE DO NOT KILL YOUR GAYS!" I'm expecting the worst with how that build-up went and I will honestly cry if it happens. They're such an amazing couple.
