You C A N N O T expect perfect pronounciation from all your non-native English speaker students in medical terminology when you yourself say /in'testin/ instead of /inˈtestən/

Trying to write a paper for my environmentalist* English professor. Since he grades solely on how much you agree with his opinions, I’m just trying to make technology and society sound as evil as possible. Maybe at the end, I’ll add a plot-twist and convince him that I’ve decided to go be a hermit and never use technology again. Wonder if he’ll let me off future assignments?  

*not saying this is a bad thing, he just doesn’t actually teach any English. Just environmentalism. Not at all helpful for trying to learn to be a better writer.

When a professor gives you a zero on an assignment you thought you did good on because you followed all of the directions but you got no credit because it “wasn’t up to the quality that I wanted”. Like, I understand a C. I understand  a D even. But a zero? Like, who the hell does she think she is? Sure, I didn’t exactly enjoy the assignment, I might have done better if I took more time on it. But I finished it, I answered all the questions, turned it in on time, everything. It’s just unfair

I can't bring myself to study for my history quiz tomorrow bc my professor is an idiot who thinks colonialism did more good than harm and that America is a socialist nation and that rich people pay way too much in taxes and that historically, the U.S. has saved the day in every place they've invaded and that if we had stayed in Iraq longer, we could've brought democracy like how we originally intended. And all the students looove everything he says and they think they've unlocked the secret to politics by taking his class when really he's an idiot history nerd who clearly didn't understand the past and obviously doesn't understand the present.
