more pics of the dinosaur quilt now that its all assembled! Happy with the bright colors and the neon green flannel backing thats super cozy and thick. I'm already picking out colors and plans for the next quilting project. Third picture shows my cat making herself a blanket fort cave and attempting to burrow into it.

Whats the song on your list that you most want to share with other folks?

oooh good question. I tend to have a lot of stuff just playing in the background, so I had to go through and actually relisten to like 3/4 of the stuff on this years wrapped.

Lets go with Link by Sleepdealer, neat little lofi vibe track that samples ocarina of time audio that ended up on one of my daily mixes and I kept accidentally adding it to playlists

everyone meet Pickles

Realized I never actually posted Pickles on here once he got his button eyes. Pickles is 100% hand knit on circular needles from a nice mystery fingering-weight merino yarn that was gifted to me. The only sewing on Pickles is the yarn holding his eyes on, everything else was knit into his form. 18 inches long and about 9 tall, Pickles took about 230 hours to create.

He is soft and traps heat well when held. Stuffed with nice high loft filling, he gives a solid and comforting feedback when hugged.

Pickles has NO pattern, but instead was inspired by/adapted from African flower crochet plush patterns using knitting techniques. (if you aren't a thread artist, imagine you heard a song and so you decided to write out sheet music for a completely different instrument)

3 days of work and i have completed the 6 big beautiful blue brontosauruses :D

Update: finished 6 stunning spikey stegosaurus in a pretty minty green

Now theres just one more set of 6 dinos to make and then it will be time to start assembling all the big squares into the blanket proper :3

3 more days of work and I finished the silly purple dinos

Today, we start on the minty colored dino

Finished the heel and gusset, now Im gonna make a fitted instep with slipstitch ribbing and a smooth top. Im really happy with how the sparkle yarn really has a grounding effect on the other colors :3
