This week’s Instagram flicks were full of Super Bowl fever, behind the scenes Fashion Week snaps and shoes galore. Jourdan Dunn showed off her sneaker game, Rachel Roy gave a lesson on dope nails and Gabrielle Union was a life-size Barbie in pink. There was even some fashionable sisterly love for Throw Back Thursday.

Ok... I'm late. Super late actually. I didn't know how amazing of a website Style Blazer was until yesterday. While clicking through various links, I came across their How I Made It web series. Currently in it's 4th season, they have held interviews with industry mavens such as Alek Wek, Mikki Taylor, and Beverly Johnson—even my girl, Alexis Phifer. Which brings me to the point of this blog post. I ADORE HER! I know most people recognize her as Kanye West's ex-fiancee (remember that cool photo shoot they did for Harper's Bazaar). However, I'm not here for that. As an FIDM graduate, owner of her own clothing line since 2005, GHITA, and branding herself as a stylist, she is her own woman. A pretty one at that.
