Hi, I wrote a thing. If you want to, you can read it.
She did not even like coffee. It was way too bitter, and she could not consider any liquid that did not allow her to see the bottom of the mug trustworthy. Yet she took another sip, and felt relieved that at least it did not cause blisters to appear in her mouth.
The skirt she was wearing tickled her leg, a couple of inches under her knee. She scratched it and looked at her legs, crossing them. From her mid-high heels all the way up to her hair, tied back in a bun, she looked like the perfect business woman. And she was. She was still on her size 7 feet in a world dominated by middle-aged white men. At least, she thought she was.
Maybe it was this very interview with one Mr Gerralds for a multi-national and plenty-billionaire company that sells things. Maybe it was her turning point. Slowly, she came to the realisation that she did not want to talk to Mr Gerralds, and that had nothing to do with the fact that he was covered in what seemed like gallons of strong smelling cologne.
She took off her shoes, and took a look at her CV. Two pages filled with her work experiences, workshops, education. The perfect applicant, she was. And mere minutes ago, she also had the ultimate attitude and dedication. She used to be a workaholic, and she probably still was. That does not change in a couple of minutes. But something inside her (probably located in the front-lobe of her right-side brain) had changed. She took her CV from the desk, and turned it around. She picked a pen from a holder on the desk, and started writing on the back of her curriculum vitae:
“Don’t get your knickers in a twist, you will find someone else for this job. I just have things to do, like telling people I love them, and climbing the Kilimanjaro. Have a nice day!”
She wrote down her name, and made a quick drawing of Mr Gerralds wearing a tutu. She giggled a bit, and got up. Walking towards the closed office door, she kept on giggling. She opened the door, and almost slammed it in the face of Mr Gerralds’ assistant, who looked startled. Only now she noticed how short the guy was, and she took off her heels.
“Do you think you can climb the Kilimanjaro with these? Or any mountain, for that matter?”
“I don’t think so, ma’am,” the little, balding man said bewildered.
“Have them, ten.” Before the guy could protest, she pushed them in his arms, and left him more confused than ever, probably.
De dark hallway seemed to totally take her in, as she slowly walked towards the lift, barefoot. She only stopped to take out her phone, and call one of her contacts, sincerely hoping the person she was trying to reach had not changed phone numbers over the last three, four years.
“Hi mum, ” she said in her phone, on the edge of tears, “I was wondering if I could stop by for some tea…”
Some awesome SPN cosplayers (some of them my friends, some of them we ran into there)
