This design shares much with the XP-512 concepts from 1969, presumably GM was giving serious thought to building such a small vehicle in the depths of the 1973-74 energy crisis.

Cincinnati Romans was a proposed name and aesthetic concept for a Cincinnati-based NFL expansion team in 1965. The team's uniforms were envisioned to include white helmets with laurel wreaths and warm-up jackets like Roman capes, but the NFL franchise was awarded to New Orleans, and Paul Brown eventually chose the name Bengals for the AFL team that would later join the NFL.
