Creation
Torments of the otherworld, the stymphalian are only visible to those who have witnessed death. Born in clutches, the stymphalian are creatures that are not native to this neck of the Otherworld but arrived shortly after the appearance of the Original vampires. Once few in number, the stymphalian rarely crossed into the mortal realm and were not perceived to be a threat until Titania built the court within the Otherworld. By then the stymphalian had reproduced in mass and densely populated regions of the Otherworld. Perceived as an infestation, the stymphalian are not capable of human speech but communicate instead through screeching. Those who are attacked by a horde of these creatures will never forget the sound baring down on them
Habits
Remarkably vain, the stymphalian all live in broods and serve a singular Broodmother who births the clutches of the creatures. Occupants of decrepit cathedrals, estates, or castles that mirror locations within the Otherworld. Stymphalian have a hive mind of sorts that works similarly to that of a lycan pack or vampire bloodline; when one of their broods is threatened, the entire colony will flock to protect them. When slain, the pain is shared throughout the horde. Stymphalian have a deep hunger for blood and spiritual energy alike, as a result areas of the Otherworld that have grown quiet and void of other creatures are likely hunting grounds for stymphalian. Those whose soul has been consumed by a stymphalian are lost forever.
