Turbo faces off with Borgeous to test his strength! Various styracosaurus gather to watch and cheer them on.
Well this is more in line with Owen’s personality
Now that it's been a while since the reveal of elizamon's second mega, i think i have gathered my thoughts better to say what i think about it.
They weren't going to make a better mega for the line than Medusamon, so i totally get going into such a wild direction. But boy do i wish Styracomon at least kept the pink and blue color scheme, it feels more like a very distant cousin rather than being part of the same digimon line, and that wouldn't be a problem if they didn't make the elizamon concept so present in every other stage of the line.
Still, i actually do like Styracomon's design (they should have made the skin blue but i dont hate the green), i like to imagine this is the mecha that protects elizamon's dragonkin kingdom and thats fun. I have seen a lot of people try to dig some deeper connection from the design that ties it to the rest of the line, i dont think it's that deep, they probably just reused a design that was already laying around.
Anyways, Medusamon is already a mega so i dont think elizamon's concept is left unfinished, so i dont have a big problem with styraco even if i was quite disappointed initially. Right now i just want to see the complete Maquinamon line, they need to add Dalphomon to the reference book already!!
Styracomon is definitely not what I was expecting from a new Elizamon final form. Why is this thing not a Triceramon evolution? That works way better

With Styracomon being announced and all I've seen about it, I feel the need to remind some fans that visual connection is not the only connection Digimon can have to their evolutions.
It is fine to dislike an evolution because there's no visual connections, but lore, story, and even personality can connect Digimon to each other in an evolution line. I have no idea if Styracomon has any of these connections, but I still want to remind fans of this because I feel many only think a "good" evolution line is one with visual connections
Styracomon
Level:Mega/Ultimate
Type:Dragon Man
Attribute: Data
Special Move・Crimson Crest
・Dreadnought Stampede
Profile
A powerful, heavyweight fighter whose bulk rivals that of UltimateBrachiomon. Styracomon boasts sturdy armor and muscles, as well as the ability to generate an energy field using the horns over its body— an impressive array of defenses that render physical attacks futile.
Styracomon prides itself on its ability to withstand incoming attacks thanks to its impenetrable defense. When it goes on the offensive, the special moves with which it retaliates are deadly. With Crimson Crest, it concentrates energy into the many horns on its head armor before letting loose a destructive beam. With Dreadnought Stampede, it launches missiles from all over its body while charging at its foes, annihilating all in its wake.
The valiant way Styracomon shrugs off attacks only to counter with greater force has earned the admiration of many Digimon, and has even attracted a slew of Digimon looking for a challenge with which to test the strength they take pride in.
