somehow you beefed when you were younger and she still doesn't like you but you are the best option for your role so she concedes without much trouble. but she watches you like a hawk 24/7. always a guard with you, but also approving all of your ideas without needing a long explanation because she does trust your expertise. she scolds you for getting into trouble with the other members of your team thanks to clashing opinions and your stubbornly refusing to back down, but you're also the one person she drops all of her masks around.
honestly i really like this idea for both dom & sub eva. if you're being particularly annoying, she'll slap you then look disgusted at you for smiling and blushing so much at the physical contact, probably aware that you're doing your best to get on her nerves so she'll spend as much time as possible being mean to you. she doesn't like hurting people, but years of built up and supressed anger make her less averse to hurting you when you're not even pretending to dislike it.
alternatively, she'll be dead tired at an ungodly hour and just dismiss your guard to watch you work personally. they don't question it when they just want sleep, so you're both alone in the silence. when you finally decide to wrap up, she's probably already asleep in her chair. she'll wake up in bed with some comfortable pajamas on, alarm set to an hour later, and just text you with the word "pervert", no capitalization or period. but she's silently questioning why you still remember her password after a decade or two of being apart.
if she's not quite asleep yet, you can just tease her for paying so much attention to you. she'll scoff or frown at you, giving some old excuse, but would never say no when you pick her up and make her relax with your mouth or hands. you, infuriatingly, draw her in with your smiles and sweet words and all the little things that make her certain she's still your priority. she's got more important ones than you, but she'll always come back to just you.
