"Truly, We have adorned the lowest heaven with stars for beauty" [Ṣāfāt: 6].

{إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاء الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ}

The images that NASA's space telescope are sending are truly staggering.

Our small and minute existence on this planet, lost in dimensions of time and space beyond even our imagination (some images captured by this telescope existed more than 12 billion years ago and their light has traveled distances our minds cannot even comprehend), only adds to our appreciation of the power of the Creator of the Heavens and earth, and should humble us in awe and amazement at the beauty and majesty of Allah's creation.

The amazing thing about surah Al Masad that always blows my mind is that Abu Lahab could have easily proved The Prophet and the Quran wrong by converting just to save himself from whatever was mentioned in the surah or by simply lying about his belief in Islam. But he never did. And Allah knew he never would. That's why He sealed his fate years before he actually passed away.
