what if a character doesn't have a canon age? theres a few i'm considering submitting when submissions reopen, but they don't have canon ages, and they're drawn in a cutesy chibi style so i don't think it's possible to guess ages from appearances with them, either.... i personally see them as adults, at least.

Hey anon! Great question. After some chatter with Curse, we've decided the following

Allowed: Chibi/cutesy characters who; - are not described as child-like, a "young [gender]", etc. in their wiki/bio/similar - do not act like a child [not to say adults cant be childish at times, its more "is this character ONLY acting like a child?" if that makes sense.] - do not look similar to other characters in the same series who are known to be children

Otherwise, err on the side caution and do not submit them. Better safe than sorry, ya feel?

We've deleted/rejected a scant few submissions, one of the reasons for one was because the character, while canonically without an age, was described as a "young girl" and we are not risking that.

[One of the others was because the source material is... too controversial for here and we are not dealing with what that would bring.]

They looked so fucking happy together 😭😔 My upset is immeasurable, I demand a refund 😡 Also like that entire moment is just incomprehensible. Charles obviously wants to wrap an arm around Seb for the post-qualy photo but then drops his hand at the last minute. But Seb notices, and he turns to him and grins encouragingly and puts an arm around him and says “smile” and then Charles looks so...flustered? Sheepish? Grateful? afterwards. Smiling so his dimples show, gazing at Seb like he hung the moon over such a simple friendly gesture. It’s. Fuck. Critical damage

An Old Friend

The night streets of Stormwind were mostly empty for the most part, with the exception of a sleepless wanderer or stumbling drunkard. It was silent for the most part. The darkened hours were brought a hint more light than usual by the full moon that slowly travelled over the sparkling sky.

The sound of a set of paws and claws pattered and clicked against the stone walkway; the excited, playful sounds of a fox breaking the relative silence of the night as it ran head first into Vorain’s leg. A pause came from the small creature as it pranced backwards in a startled manner before it paused completely. There was an obvious familiarity to the fox, as if the man had seen it before.

The fox erupted into excited chatter all of a sudden, jumping at the man he hadn’t seen in so long, but remembered very well. The collar on the creature finally revealed it’s familiarity to be real as the name ‘Butters’ was seen engraved into the leather, a purple ribbon fastened neatly simply proved who he belonged to even more so.

If Butters was around... Nyura was certain to be somewhere nearby.

Vorain was on his nightly stroll, something he did often as it was a way to pass the time since the world stopped at night and he didn't. Unable to sleep for so long now it was only normal for him, smiling a bit at the regular homeless about snoozing and avoiding the stumbling drunks. He was deep in thought, listening to his stars when he bumped into something...Or rather they bumped into him? His heavy gaze turned down to see a fox? Who? Backing a bit as this one bounced excitedly and exclaimed an almost eerie familiarness of the man. Then he saw the name, gaze warming a bit. "Hey, Butters...Come here silly fox." He hummed deeply, scooping him up and peppering him with face kisses.

"Well...If you're about...Then where is my dear old friend?" He asked the strange fox, there was something different about him than most animals. While he wanted to see Nyura, he wasn't sure how she'd react to seeing him after...Elora. He heaved out a heavy sigh, setting Butters down carefully before looking around. He wondered if she'd spotted him this time or if he'd got the upper hand this time.

Get to know character

29. What is one of the most courageous things your character has ever done for a loved one?

She really hasn’t had that kind of opportunity yet. Her list of loved ones in her lifetime is really really small. It was always everyone else doing for her, mostly making it so she could go and hide from the Imperials, but, even after she fled to Kugane, she didn’t have anyone she loved around her.

The most Courageous things she has done though, was to follow the Warrior of Light who had been on a ship between Kugane and Limsa, onto the decks of a Voidsent Ship, and use her skills in Conjury  to heal the wounds the WoL: received as they fought off the Voidsent. She was terror stricken and she explains it away as “My Mother the Sea made me do it”.

This of course could all change as she has found love, and is learning whole new aspects of herself, stay tuned!
