A little lore because I'm a chismoso. Their name is Thyros. Komodo and Dragon caught them trying to steal the remnants of a victim and brought them to the camp as trophy.

Derek thought they were cool as hell and took them as a pet. He regrets it, but at least he has a pretty cool companion for his desert adventures.
