I'm in pain, so enjoy some honesty.

1:What is your name and does it mean anything? My real first name (Michiko; 美智子) means "beautiful child of wisdom".  Also, fun fact, it's the same name as the Empress, so that's cool enough. The Western name I go by (Kelsey) has the meaning of island of ships or something like that; it's scandinavian origin.

2:How long have you known your best friend? Several years now.  Lots and lots.

3:What position do you normally sleep in? Whatever feels comfortable?  Generally on my side, I think.

4:Were you a part of any “clique” in high school? I was a band kid.  And a nerd.  I pretty much just flitted from one friend group to another, tbh.

5:Who was your favorite teacher in high school and why? I only had my tech teacher for one year, but he really opened my eyes to a lot of the things that made me tick.  He knew most of the class before, so I felt like I had to be the perfect student in order to get in his good graces, only to end up on the day of a major exam crying in the bathroom because I was so stressed.  Despite the fact that I did the test still bawling my eyes out (coming in almost an hour late to the class) and he didn't say anything, when I went back the next day to apologize, he basically told me that I didn't need to and that what I had shown wasn't weakness, but dedication, and to embrace that.  He was one of the first people to show me that my feelings were valid, no matter what, and he always believed in whatever I wanted to do.  He was also just super fun to talk to; he was the debate coach, so if you went in after class and tried to pick a topic, he'd sit there and debate you on it for ages.  

6:Do you wish to travel a lot? I love travelling, so yes.

7:Did you participate in any sports while in school? I did tennis one year and ended up injuring myself.  xD  I did karate outside of school, and learned to wield a naginata in high school.

8:Show a sample of your handwriting: A scribble is more legible, promise.

9:Have you ever given blood? I've never been eligible; always been underweight for it (and anemic; I don't think they let you give blood then).

10:Do you like the way that you grew up? I don't have a problem with it.  I mean, sure some of it was screwed up, but it's shaped me into the person I am today, and I'm pretty okay with me.

11:Do you like your siblings? Why or why not? Haha, my brother and I have a love/hate relationship; if we're playing video games together, we're fine.  Anything else is war.  

12:How did you meet your best friend and why did you become friends? I think we met at summer camp; I'd just moved from Japan and knew absolutely no one.  I was pretty damn quiet, since I'm not a native English speaker, so I thought my English was just bad (only to find out last year that she didn't know I wasn't native; apparently I was better than I thought).  I don't remember quite how we were introduced, but we became friends through nerdy shit like Sailor Moon and Kingdom Hearts.  Weebs early, yo.

13:Name one movie that made you cry. Grave of the Fireflies.  Need I say more?

14:Do you prefer to read poetry, write poetry, or neither? Neither.  Poetry's not really my thing.

15:Things about someone that you find attractive? Skin.  Eyes.  Bones.  A personality.  Good stuff.

16:What song are you currently listening to? Gurutamin's cover of プラス男子 (yes, I am trash, thankyouverymuch).

17:Have you ever broken a bone? If so, how? I've broken a lot of them; too many to talk about, most of them in dumb ways.

18:A random memory from you childhood: I kidnapped the neighbor's dog when I was ten and tried to go on a Pokemon adventure.  My mom was pissed as hell.

19:Where did you grow up? Lots of places; Phoenix, Arizona; Tokyo, Japan; Paris, France; Eugene, Oregon; you get the drift.

20:What was the last thing you watched on tv? I just rewatched all of Binan Koukou Chikyuu Boueibu LOVE (美男高校地球防衛部ＬＯＶＥ！）(yes, I told you I'm trash).

21:Do you think you’d make a good parent? Kamisama, no.  I can barely take care of myself half the time; a plus one wouldn't survive very well.

22:Would you like to meet any of your Tumblr friends in person? Sure?  I wouldn't not like to meet them, if that's the alternative.

22:What was the last dream you remember having? I was kidnapped along with 24 other people and we had to play these logic games every day in order to get out; I was obviously thinking about Zero Escape and Umineko and all those other things.  (Also, why are there two 22s?)

23:When is your birthday? 19 February.

24:How many pillows do you sleep with? I own one pillow.  xD  That would be it.

25:Do you wear glasses? If so, how long have you been wearing glasses? I do!  I've been wearing them since my Senior year of HS, so . . . coming up on four years now. I wear my contacts more often these days.

26:What color is your hair? Very dark brown.  Dark enough that it used to be an argument over whether it was brown or black.

27:Name 5 facts about your appearance: a. I'm the whitest Japanese person you'll ever know. b. I'm freaking short. c. My eyes are a ton of different colors; brown near the iris, green/silver in the middle, and blue around the edges. d. I still battle with acne, although these days it's because I haven't gone out to buy face wash in ages.  xD e. Did I mention I'm short? (I don't know!)

28:What is your favorite soda? I'm not much of a soda drinker, but I'll indulge in just about any melon soda occasionally.  Pepsi isn't bad either.

29:What is a strange talent that you have? I can come up with sarcastic remarks in just about any situation.

30:How’s the weather right now? I think it's confused.

31:Why did one of your friendships end? Because I didn't care enough about it to put in the effort to have it continue.

32:Who do you miss right now? My aibou and my secret lover.  Pretty much all of my cosplay group.

33:Why did your last relationship end? Because I don't do relationships (AKA, I don't have one.  xD )

34:Are you still figuring out who you are? In some respects.  I know my faults pretty well, but I still struggle with what is good about me at times and I'm trying to figure out what my outlook on life is these days.  I think where I don't know myself is due to the influence of people who I shouldn't have let into my life and did (or didn't have a choice) or just what I've been told over the years.

35:Have you ever been admitted to a hospital? Why? Ahahahahahahaha.  There's a list for this, and back in Eugene, they used to know my face.  =_____=;;

36:What is your favorite restaurant? Any place that has a conveyor belt with sushi.

37:What is word that you always seem to spell wrong? For years it was "refrigerator".  These days, I always have to think about how to spell "privilege".  

38:Would ever adopt kids? Not a chance in hell.

39:What is your favorite kind of pizza? I always loved the Herb Chicken Mediterranean pizza from Papa Murphey's.  c:  But normal pizza flavors?  Margherita.

40:What was your first thought when you woke up this morning? "Shit, my ribs hurt like a bitch."

41:When was the last time you got really really happy and why? I got to talk to Koko for the first time in a month last night, and I got to see Daxter over Skype, so that was probably it.  Previously, it was the party my friends threw for my birthday over here.  One of the presents is a group picture and I love it.

42:What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten? Strange to most people and strange to me are two different things.  But taking both into account?  Probably chocolate-covered ants. (Strange for me; hashbrown casserole.  The hell is it and where are the vegetables?)

43:How do you start a conversation? I stare at people intensely until they start the conversation.

44:What’s a band you’ve been obsessed with lately? Ummmmm . . . I've been listening to a lot of Gurutamin and Soraru lately.

45:Do you come from a family “of money?” On one side, yes.  On the other side, no.  

46:Do you have a bucket list? Sure.  First thing on it is "Not die."  I haven't written the rest yet.  

47:What is your favorite series of books? Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series is fantastic.

48:When was the last time you laughed so hard your stomach hurt? Yesterday, when Koko described Shinjiro Aragaki wearing a wedding dress in Persona Q.  I lost it.

49:Where do you go when you’re sad? Anywhere high up.  Less people, great view; it's a win-win.

50:5 random facts about yourself: a. My uncle is a character designer, so I occasionally throw my hat into the ring as well in an attempt.   b. I pace around.  A lot.  I'm pretty sure there's a section of my carpet that is worn down because I pace it so often.  But I listen to music and pace and that's my thinking time for the day. c. I had the worst inferiority complex until last month when my advisor finally told me that someone else's success was not my failure.  Because of the way I was raised, I've felt like I needed to be the best at everything in order to be acknowledged as a human being (while simultaneously knowing that it wasn't healthy to do so).  The fact that I spent so much time feeling inadequate when I should have been feeling happy for them and with them is something that I'll regret for a good portion of my life. d. I imagine different scenarios all the time.  Like, I'll be in the middle of class and then start contemplating how to get a tiger in the classroom without anyone noticing.  I swear, I would be brilliant if I figured out how to dedicate my entire brain to a task. e. I need a ridiculous amount of alone time in order to function properly. I get really tired really easily around people, and I snap if I'm too tired.  Like, a lot of people take it personally, but it's literally not them; it's me.  Cons are really difficult in that regard; if I don't feel comfortable somewhere or with some people, it becomes pretty hellish. Damn, this got really honest.  I blame the painkillers.
