I have so many (SO. MANY.) feelings about aou and I think the issue really comes in that whedon wrote a sequel to one movie (avengers) instead of four movies (avengers, im3, the dark world, and winter soldier), and that how you end up with this herky-jerky characterization that matches pre-im3 characterization and you have no idea how the band got back together when Steve was looking for Bucky and Natasha was supposed to be rebuilding her covers for “a while, she was counting on it”, and what’s truly infuriating is that we know he wrote aou this way on fucking purpose.
