Long overdue update on the guy that asked me out: We've since reconnected on Facebook and now have a date planned for Saturday. At a St. Patrick's Day festival, complete with carnival rides. Before anyone reads this and thinks "Awwwww", there's a few drawbacks: 1, He smokes and chews tobacco. That's always no bueno. 2, Dude works with my mom's boyfriend, so there's this weird feeding of conversation that goes on without my knowledge. (The momma boyfriend has already tried to invite him to dinner. 1. Not your place. 2. This place is not suitable for guests anyway.) And finally, the amount of attention I'm getting because of it is DEFINITELY not sitting well with me. I've voluntarily told four people (excluding on-hand coworker that probably hates me now for unrelated reasons) while EVERYONE ELSE has found out elsewhere (including my mom, who opened the conversation with "So I hear we'll be inviting someone over for dinner soon?". That's not how you do that.). And since the guy lives in town, if things don't work out there will be stories about it, I'm sure. I just need to make sure drinking, smoking, chewing, and riding the sick rides won't be things that happen on Saturday.
