1. Are you good at managing your finances? Why/Why not?

If I have a clear, defined budget and go into a store knowing what I'm looking for, then I'm pretty good at not over-spending and staying within budget.

If I don't set up rules for myself and I'm just out to have a good time with friends...not so much. That's when I'm prone to impulse purchases and buying all the food.

2. What is an off-beat talent you have that you’re proud of? (i.e. flexible, singing with the car radio and not caring who stares, competition eating, er… idk, just things one wouldn’t immediately think of)

Not exactly a talent, but I'm apparently double jointed in my fingers. I'm not so much proud of it as much as I think it's funny when people freak out when my fingers bend in a weird way.

I've had people say it looks painful, but it's really not.

3. What’s your favorite article of clothing?

A green, high waisted, halter top dress with a pleated skirt with a thick black ribbon that goes around the torso just under the bust, and a ribbon rose attached. It was on sale and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I have yet to find an excuse to wear it (outside of taking dumb pictures for Tumblr...you can find them if you take an archive dive).

4. When you order out at restaurants, are you the type who has a ‘usual’ or do you like to try everything new?

I tend to stick to things with ingredients that I know I like or are similar to things I've had before, when it comes to restaurants I'm unfamiliar with. My family doesn't have a habit of going to the same restaurant several times.

If I've eaten there before, I'll usually stick to what's familiar. So, I guess you can say I'm the type that has a "usual."

5. What is your most and least favorite chore to do around the house?

My most favorite chore is anything repetitive and mindless so I can think about story ideas, character ideas, or just listen to music.

My least favorite chore is anything that involves organizing things. I should learn to just do it but eeeehhhh...

6. What kind of fairly normal smell makes you turn the other way? (for example, I hate febreeze with a burning passion)

Darn, I like Febreeze.

I don't like the smell of daycares or a place that has a strong presence of very young children. I don't know how to describe it, but I don't like it at all.

7. Name an act of kindness someone has done for you or you’ve done for someone else.

I left my iPod on the bus after an Academic Decathlon States competition.

The same bus driver drove my AcaDec team to our States Awards Dinner and returned it to me. That stupid thing is my baby, you had no idea how relieved I was. (It's getting replaced, though, because it's old and starting to break down.)

8. Would you rather be completely colorblind or never smell anything again?

I'm a visual artist, so I can't afford to compromise the way I perceive color, so I'll go with losing my sense of smell.

I'll miss the smell of my scented candles, soap, and good food, though. 

9. Do you have a daily ritual?

I check Tumblr almost every day, I guess?

10. Do you keep a coin jar? What about a junk drawer?

Every drawer is my junk drawer.

I don't keep a coin jar (it's a coin bag, actually), but I do keep a jar of paper stars and a jar of tiny, origami swans.

11. What kind of keychains do you have on your keys?

I don't have house keys of my own and I don't have my permit yet, so I see no reason to carry around or customize my car keys.

I’d say yes. I’m very good about knowing what’s in my wallet/bank, and others seem to trust me enough with their finances. I’m the treasurer of the Pokemon Club! I admittedly have a bit of trouble with impulse control on purchasing certain things Pokemon cards, but I’m getting better. So overall, yes.

2. What is an off-beat talent you have that you’re proud of? (i.e. flexible, singing with the car radio and not caring who stares, competition eating, er… idk, just things one wouldn’t immediately think of)

I’m pretty good at parroting, both in terms of words and accents. I’m really grateful for this seemingly useless and annoying talent, because without it, I’d have a lot harder time with language classes. Few things are more helpful in learning languages than being able to imitate pronunciation.

3. What’s your favorite article of clothing?

At this point, my trenchcoat. I don’t care that it makes me look like a drug dealer. It’s warm, it’s comfy, and I’d wear it all the time if I could. Funny story, the teacher I was shadowing this past week specifically told me I wasn’t allowed to wear it while I was teaching.

4. When you order out at restaurants, are you the type who has a ‘usual’ or do you like to try everything new?

Eh, I’m more of a usual person, but there are days where I’m extremely adventurous with tastes. On such an occasion, expect me to go for something spicy.

5. What is your most and least favorite chore to do around the house?

My favorite chore is probably general organization. I don’t do much of it unless I’m procrastinating, but it’s so calming. Plus everything’s so clean and spacious afterwards.

My least favorite is cleaning the bathrooms. My siblings are all horrifically messy in just about everything they do, and by extension, the bathroom is some sort of hellhole. Plus I have an uncomfortable memory associated with it.

6. What kind of fairly normal smell makes you turn the other way? (for example, I hate febreeze with a burning passion)

Excessive body spray, for men or women. I have a sensitive nose, and even a spritz too much really irritates it.

7. Name an act of kindness someone has done for you or you’ve done for someone else.

Today, I caught a French terrier that was running around the street with a leash and no tags. We found his owner (who didn’t seem to be too worried he’d run off even though she said he broke free of her grip?) and returned him. I hope he’s doing okay…

8. Would you rather be completely colorblind or never smell anything again?

Colorblind. I can’t die from putting clashing colors together.

9. Do you have a daily ritual?

Only really when I’m at school. On break, I have no idea what’s going on each day, so I just go with the flow.

It’s not a jar as much as it is a Ziploc coin baggie. No junk drawer for me, though. “Junk” items tend to get piled rather than put away.

11. What kind of keychains do you have on your keys?

The only key I possess is the key to my dorm room, and it’d hooked onto a lanyard that shares my school ID. I’m that student who wears a lanyard every day, even though I’m not a freshman.

1. What is your favorite video game?

Do you honestly expect me to pick just one???

2. How old were you when you discovered the internet?

I've probably had brushes with the internet when I was younger, but I don't think I really started using it until I was around 9-10?

3. What food do you really despise?

Eggplant, spinach, and artichokes because I am actually a picky five-year-old. 

4. A quote from a TV show that has always been floating around in your head?

"I'm not mean. I'm a thousand years old and I've just lost track of my moral code." -Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time. I like this quote a lot. The way it flows and rolls off the tongue. It's a fun quote to say. 

5. The most comfortable piece of clothing to wear in your opinion?

A too-big hoodie. I've gotten hoodies that were too big for me on purpose for this very reason.

6. Your favorite dish to eat in summer?

Fruity, cold soups.

They're not my ~*~ABSOLUTE FAVORITE~*~, but it's the dish I like the most that I eat exclusively in the summer.

7. What country do you want to visit the most?

This is going to sound really gross and weebish but...probably Japan. I was going to say France, but I am going to go there this year. There's a lot of cool stuff in Japan, like an island where rabbits will come up to you instead of skittering away. 

It's a pretty shallow reason, but there's cool stuff and I want to see the cool stuff. And possibly purchase some merchandise that's not available here.

I don't have an aversion to travel and will do so if given the chance, but I can't think of a country that I have a BURNING NEED to visit.

8. Favorite Team Fortress 2 class?

I don't play TF2 (because games that require teamwork only results in me frustrating everyone else).

I like Pyro, though. 

9. Do you enjoy the school you’re currently in?

It's not the best, but it's better than most. I'm satisfied with it.

10. Do you follow any famous Youtubers on Youtube? (like Cry or Ray William Johnson)

Octopimp and College Humor. CH is kind of problematic at times, though. :T

Vowel sounds. ‘Orange’ is said with an ‘OH’ sound at the beginning, which is a vowel sound. ‘Once-ler’ is said with ah ‘WH’ sound, so it is treated like a consonant.

I'm working on a Portal/Princess Bride crossover. Craig and Rick are my Inigo and Fezzik. (Shipping optional, but still a possibility. I haven't decided yet.) Any Princess Bride fans care to offer insight as to how to handle their characters in the context of the story?
