Why does it automatically have to mean cheating?

What if it's a betrayal of trust?  What if Aaron confides in Robert about the struggle he's having in prison?  The marijuana use?  The bullying?  The beating? One of the articles say that he's not sure if he should tell the people he loves.  What if Aaron confides in Robert about what's happening to him, but he makes Robert promise NOT to tell Chas.  However, maybe Robert is "tempted to betray" Aaron's confidence by telling Chas what's happened to him because he doesn't know what to do or how to help Aaron from the outside. 

The reason this came to me, was because I remember back during the abuse SL, Robert didn't want to tell Chas about Gordon.  They were in Vadam's house and he told Chas "I'm already betraying his trust" in regards to him saying too much.  

So...as I've said before, I have 200% faith in Robert and his fidelity, so I offer an idea as to what the spoiler may actually mean. Thanks for reading!

How great of a fiance am I?

I love my Robert so much. Hearing him vocalize that he was Aaron’s fiance was super cute. Even if it was to be an arrogant little snot. He deserves to be so smug because he did a brilliant job and he’s amazing. Anyone who can’t see that is a fool.

WHITES vs DINGLES

Just appreciate Robert Sugden’s face. I couldnt get a clear screenshot because this boy is just all jumpy and excitably happy. He’s literally hopping all over the place in the christmas episode, such a puppy. Compared to the utter disgust as he looks over at Katie. The way he’s turned away from Chrissie and Lawrence the symbol of his fathers rejection and his internalized biphobia is just powerful. He’s holding on to the wine, the epitome of his wealthy lifestyle, to cling on to success but his body has moved away from it. Unlike the Christmas Snowball at Lisa’s which he mocks and then gets very attached to and uses as an excuse to stick around this family. His family, his home, his safe space, the Dingles.

Sugden

I really would love Robert to acknowledge that his father owned Mill Cottage. I’d love him exploring the house and sharing some more intimate stories about his long past, with Aaron. Having watched Emmerdale since I was a wee lass I was very fond of Jack, but Rob’s admission of his lack of acceptance of his bisexuality, upset me so I cant imagine what effect it had on Robert. I feel as if there are some unresolved issues, and he needs to talk through them for cathartic release so he can truly be himself with not just Aaron but the rest of Emmerdale. It seems currently he’s going to decorate the house but its going to be in Liv and Aaron’s name, even though he is the one who originally wanted it. I’d love if Ememrdale didnt push him to the side and acknowledge how important it is for Robert too to have a home and feel safe. The fact that he understood Liv and her need for stability and secuirity made me feel that he recognized it in himself. I want Aaron and Emmerdale to acknowledge Robert’s pain and issues far more than they currently do.

why i’d like it to be Sugden-Dingle

I know it'll not make sense to people and i’m sure people will get all offended and accuse me of saying something negative about Aaron (insert eye roll here) and i'm also sure i’m in the minority, but FOR ME, i look at it like this....

Robert has pretty much surrounded himself with Dingles, by moving in at the pub so he's completely stepped into Aaron's world with Chas, Liv, Charity & Noah. Cain and Paddy, Aaron’s male father figures are usually just a bar stool away. We have Adam, Aaron’s best mate and Marlon, Aaron’s cousin around. So many people being Aaron’s support system like Lisa, Zak & Belle.  Robert will probably drink from the wellie JUST so he can be accepted into the Dingle clan for Aaron’s sake and happiness. So for me, Aaron taking on Robert's name, would be like taking a step into Robert's world, doing something to tell Robert, that despite being a Dingle and despite being surrounded by his family in every inch of the village, he will be Robert’s husband and Robert’s family, since Rob has basically submerged himself inro Dingledom.
