We're on our 5th go around of the pokedex, and we've gone full circle- we're back to Have You Used This Pokemon? Our focus in this particular round is finding which pokemon is the most and least used, along with a secondary focus of which pokemon are most suggested to be used or avoided!
We're starting from the beginning with Bulbasaur, who'll post on March 16th at 1700/5PM UTC! We'll move up the pokedex in national dex order, with a poll posting every 4 hours. These polls will all be tagged as the pokemon's name, the region they were introduced, and #pokepoll. Any pokemon that has received any Reviews will have them listed under a readmore in descending order of Highest rating to Lowest. Reviews/Propaganda can be sent in through the ask page or through this google form!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great time ^^
Below is further explanation of other things you might see during this round!
FAQ
I have a frequently-asked-questions page here! It's not all encompassing, but might answer some more common questions. Feel free to send in any questions you have, regardless of if they're on there or not ^^
Feedback
Trying out something new this round, I've opened up a feedback form on google forms, here! It can be used for any sort of feedback or suggestions, as I'd like to make sure I keep the polls / blog as fun as I can for y'all ^^
Premier Polls
These are minigame polls, meant to offer a little variety from gen-to-gen. This round will have a focus on Who's That Pokemon? I will give you a Silhouette, a Cry, or a Feature, and your goal is to identify which Pokemon out of the five listed it is! There will be three pokemon chosen per generation, spaced as evenly as possible within that gen. [Ex. Kanto has 151 pokemon, so there will be a premier poll every 50 polls.] If all three pokemon are correctly identified, then there will be a fourth, bonus poll based that uses Trivia as the identifier.
Sources
I will be using a lot of images that, unsurprisingly, I did not make! So I'd like to properly credit them here, as easy access.
Bulbapedia/Bulbagarden - My Main Source for all official art, Pokemon Card artwork, and sprites from the Gens 1-4 mainline games.
Pokemon Showdown - Gen 5 and Gen 5-styled sprites, including fan-made for Gens 6-9
Wikidex.net - Pokemon Home models and gifs from the switch games
If I pull from any sources from than these, they will be mentioned directly on the post ^^

At the Library Company of Philadelphia, it doesn’t get more #VintageLibrary than our original Lion’s Mouth Suggestion Box.
Benjamin Franklin drafted the Library Company’s plans, rules, and articles of agreement in 1731, after he and a group of like-minded individuals conceived the idea of a subscription library in which all members would pool their financial resources in order to afford a larger and finer library than any one of them could have amassed individually.
The first book order was sent to England on March 31, 1732. The list of books ordered was representative of the kind of books that could be found in any good colonial American, or even English, private library. The largest portion included titles on history and travels, followed by literature. Small segments dealt with the sciences, theology, philosophy, economics, and linguistics. The works were useful because the desire for the books stemmed from the readers themselves as evidenced by the suggestion box, which reads:
Gentlemen are requested to deposite in the lion’s mouth the titles of such books as they may wish to have imported.
Franklin’s ingenious solution to the problem of access to books, the subscription library, was copied up and down the Atlantic seaboard from Salem, Massachusetts, to Charleston, South Carolina.

I don’t really know how to phrase this question/idea, or if it’s worth asking. But there’s so many pokemon i always think of as really wanting to use, but theyre really late game, or version exclusive, or trade evo, or theres just others i want to use more that are more accessible and i don’t replay individual pokemon games much because i’m nostalgic about the original save data (that’s why i miss third versions because i used to reset those). I guess perhaps Would You Use this Pokemon (if you could)? Idk, i was thinking about how i want to use bruxish but doubt i’ll get the opportunity and it was rattling about my brain
I definitely think it’s worth asking / an interesting question! One of the poll option sets I have in mind actually leans in this direction a little.
I have similar stories with Dhelmise and Relicanth, and I think it’d be fun to find out what teams people who haven’t had a chance to play certain games would come up with ^^
You mentioned any requests for the final votes... is it perhaps possible to expand the top 5 of each category to the top 6? That way, if someone wanted, they could make a full team inside of each category.
Thank you so much for the stats of the polls, btw! This has been so fun.
Ohh, I love that! Yeah, I’ll make it 6, thank you for the suggestion and kind words ^^
We are now on round 4 of going through the entire pokedex! From asking our url, to shiny pokemon, to: Is this pokemon your fav? Inspired by the phrase 'every pokemon is someone's favourite,' we're aiming to see if it's true! Rather than the standard survey where you might have to pick a favorite from all 1000+ options, we're going to go one-by-one and celebrating each pokemon as they come ^^ Tumblr has a limit of 12 options per poll, too
With this, we're going in National Dex order starting with Bulbasaur! Regional variants will have their own posts, which will be posted in the region they were introduced. A poll will be posted every 4 hours, and will be tagged with the pokemon, the region introduced they were in, and #pokepoll. These polls will also have read-mores with user-submitted endorsements (stories, propaganda, screenshots, or art) when applicable! You can send in your endorsement on either our submission page (browser only) or ask page ^^
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great time!

Are you going to do polls for any of the mega evolutions? None of them are my favorite, but it'd be fun to learn if they were someone's
I'm not planning on it currently ^^ A mixture of I don't want to post any PLZA spoilers here and that I'm unsure that mega evolutions really are different enough to constitute it.
But an argument could be made, so maybe at the end of gen 9 as some special polls! I'll think it over ^^ Could be a series special polls for 'fav forms' for pokemon that include megas, gmax, and some particular forms (east vs west shellos/gastrodon, for example).
We're in round 3 of going through the pokedex, and this time we're focusing on Shiny pokemon! Rather than use, we're simplifying the question to 'Do you have this shiny pokemon?' We all know they're a little bit rarer, ultimately worth the same, but really cool to find and add that special feel to some of our favorites. So, with that in mind, our polls are aiming to figure out what shiny pokemon people actually look for! If you have the shiny, did you hunt for it or was it by luck of the draw? If you don't have the shiny, are you looking for it or is it not in your scope?
We're going in National Dex order, with Regional Variants being posted next to their National counterparts. A poll will be posted every 4 hours, and will be tagged with the pokemon, the region introduced in, and #pokepoll. Each poll will also include a read more that feature stories or pictures of shinies that users have submitted. If you'd like to submit your own story and/or photo, you can do so here!
Thank you for reading, and hope you have a great time!

I had an idea the other day for a future run of polls, though it would be very niche (and maybe worth making my own sideblog for the purpose of if you think it wouldn't fit here?): "have you used this Pokemon as an OC/RP character?"
I think it would be fun to see what Pokemon people have had as characters!!
I'm not one to RP, but I do think it'd be interesting to see how those results would turn out! I know there are a ton of blogs dedicated to people's characters, as well as the rotomblr space, so I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in sharing their experiences as well ^^
I'll add it to the list of potential ideas for people to vote on when this round is finished, but if you or someone else makes it, please let me know! ^^
