This work’s concepts, plot and original characters are my own which means I do not allow any sort of creative theft nor do I allow my work to be entered into any sort of A.I. bots. Thank you for respecting my space and boundaries
Today, you found yourself waking up at the ass-crack of dawn, pulling yourself from your partners' embrace, scrambling around the room for two specific items, and rushing into the cold bathroom.
Your underwear was soiled.
You quietly groaned into your hands. You really hoped you didn't bleed through to the sheets. You also really didn't want to go back in there and check, not only because you were embarrassed, but because this was your first cycle since living with Satoru and Suguru.
But you had to, so you quickly cleaned yourself up, cleaned the soiled panties (laying them on the side of the tub to dry) and took a deep breath before reentering the bedroom.
The light was on, and the sheets were off. Satoru was standing by the bed, scrolling through his phone, and Suguru was nowhere to be found (you assumed that he was in the laundry room).
Your heart dropped into your stomach.
"Are you okay?" Satoru asked as he approached you, his voice was soft and slow. "Do you need anything?"
You took a step back, shaking your head that was tilted toward the ground. You didn't see the way that Satoru visibly flinched, lips tugging downward.
You wanted to run back into the bathroom, but it was your mess to clean (or finish cleaning, in this case). You turned to the dresser, pulling out a fresh pair of sheets (at least you didn't bleed through to the mattress).
Things were very awkward, even when Suguru returned (pulled away from him when he tried to reach for you). You still weren't ready to breech the conversation just yet, so you grabbed your phone and charger and relocated to the living room.

Satoru furrowed his brows as he watched you leave. "...what was that about?"
"First cycle, and it's a bad one." Suguru sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed. "We're—and by we're, I mean you, are going to have to be very patience for these next few days."
Satoru just blinked at him, then shrugged. "Well, it's a good thing I took off today, then."
"I wouldn't have—" Suguru sighed again, this time more deeply. "You know what. You're just gonna have to learn." Then he pulled the back the duvet, "Come to bed."
"Darling will come back, when Darling wants to come back."
Satoru pouted, looking between the bed and the door. He knew that Suguru was insanely good at reading people, and could trust his judgement, but he also was worried about you and hated going to sleep without at least making sure you were okay before going to bed himself.
That tone wasn't up for debate, so he begrudgingly joined Suguru in bed. It took him a long time to finally fall to sleep, unfortunately.
He hoped you were doing okay.
You didn't end up coming back to bed that night. You only returned when he and Suguru were in the bathroom, slipping under the covers and turning away from the door.
Satoru frowned and glanced at Suguru, who shook his head, continuing to get ready. He followed suit, but wasn't happy about it.
Satoru decided to disregard Suguru's words once he left for work (and wasn't there to give him the disapproving side eye).
So, a few hours later, he woke you up. "Honey, how are you doing?"
Your face soured at his question, and you only shook your head in response.
"Still bad? Okay, what can I do?"
But you just shook your head again.
Satoru frowned. "...alright, well, just let me know if you need anything, okay?" You gave him a tiny nod.
He stopped himself from sighing, he was going to have to take what he could get.
Which was nothing, after retreating into the living room, you never once called for him. You didn't even leave the bedroom for food (or cuddles).
And then he realized that maybe the reason why you weren't asking for him was because you just weren't use to it. You had dealt with this kind of pain alone (even while you were dating), and you never had anyone to lean on, but now you had him and Suguru, and you should know that you can lean on them no matter what.
With that in mind, he stood, determined to help you.
However, you shut him down, time and time again. Until finally his pushing made you snap.
And so he did. He kept himself busy (caught up on work, ew) while you did whatever it was you did while you were on your period.
And then Suguru was home. Satoru had spent his entire day doing noting, but fretting over you.
Maybe Suguru was right, maybe he should have just gone to work (haha, no, fuck that) and just left you to weather the storm like how you usually did.
The thought still left a sour taste in his mouth.
"Really didn't want me around." Satoru sighed as he watched Suguru shrugged off his coat. "Which I get. Kinda figured it out later, that help isn't really something Honey is used to—but..." He sighed again.
"But you want to help, and being pushed away hurts." Suguru finished as he stopped in front of him, placing his hands on his hips. "You know you have to be patient, Satoru."
"...I was stronger enough." His voice was soft, but you were able to hear him.
You had finally gotten yourself together (more like tired of being alone and in pain) and decided that you were finally ready to take the hand Satoru extended to you, but—
Blue and brown eyes found you standing at the top of the stairs, on hand gripping the railing, the other scrubbing angrily against your face.
Suguru rushed forward, immediately asking you what was wrong, but as you opened your eyes to answer him, you noticed Satoru had stayed back. He was obviously torn between coming to you and staying back like you had asked earlier in the day.
Suguru placed a hand on your cheek. "It's okay, we're okay." You shook your head at his words. "I promise, it is—now go." He moved pass you, patting your back. "Kiss and make up."
You pouted, fiddling with your fingers, but nodded nonetheless. "Okay. I trust you, Sugar."
You slowly made your way down the stairs, keeping your eyes on the floor in front of you. Until a second pair of feet stepped into your line of sight.
You started by grabbing his hands that were balled up at his sides, letting him know that it was okay to touch you. Then you slowly lifted your watery gaze, met his own, and you crumbled.
"I'm so sorry!" You cried as you pulled him in close.
You shook your head, pulling back slightly. "It's really not. I should've tried to talk with you at least a little."
"Well, yeah, but this is something really new for you, and I shouldn't tried to push you. I should have waited for you to come to me."
You chuckled, "And I wouldn't have. I'm stupidly stubborn when it comes to my period." Then you placed a hand on his cheek. "So would you be a darling dear, and please get me some crackers and tea, so we can snuggle on the couch?"
He smiled, bright and wide. "I'd love to."
Can you tell that I'm currently on my period and in pain and honestly and can't really even think straight, but wanted to get this out for my baby's birthday? Oh and also because I really wanted to write a period fic that's a close reflection to my own periods (which tbh the PMMD tag is really for me and not the reader (yet lol).
Because that's totally not what happened, not at all, no, haha
Anyway, I'll come back to this at some point when I'm not being plagued with the period-brain smog.
Side Note: This isn't his actual birthday fic, that'll come out later.
