Second Chance.
"Why are you even here?!", Suho shouted.
"You were the one who started ignoring me. Started avoiding me. The one who broke up with me...I don't want to hear anything you have to say".
------
A day, turned into a week, turned into a month. Suho was persistent but you were just as headstrong. You ignored his calls and texts, just him in general. It was easy at first, you felt free, then slowly as the months passed, his calls and texts became less frequent. You started to miss him.
Of course giving up a five year relationship wasn't going to be that easy. He was your first everything but you were still young, you felt held down. You didn't get to explore. You knew Suho was the type of person girls wanted to marry, but like you mentioned earlier, you were still young. Marriage was the last thing on your mind but Suho was inching towards that direction, being the traditional guy he is. You couldn't handle it so you left. A bird being freed from her cage.
------
Suho was a huge wreck after she left him. He didn't understand. He couldn't understand. He didn't do anything wrong but apparently the issue was him, himself. That's the only conclusion he could come up with after the weeks of unanswered texts and calls and showing up to her job only to be told she didn't want to see him. He just wished she'd give him closure but clearly he wasn't going to get that so the only thing he could do was try to put it all behind him and move forward.
------
It didn't take long for Suho to find a girl who appreciated him. Annie was nice but he wasn't ready to be in a relationship. Luckily she understood that, but still stuck by his side.
------
Suho started spending more and more time with Annie. She adored him, and he was starting to fall for her. He didn't want her to feel like a rebound because she wasn't but maybe this thing he had with her wasn't a bad thing...
------
You started to feel like a mad woman. You called and texted but got no reply. This was karma, this is what you put Suho through so it was only fair but this wasn't funny anymore. You wanted your boyfriend back. Being the headstrong woman you were, you decided to go to his apartment. If he wasn't going to answer you, you were going to him.
------
Knock knock. No answer. You gave the door another two knocks. You hear the clicking of the door being unlocked. The door opened and a smiling Suho was revealed like rays of sunshine through thick fluffy clouds. Your heart skipped a beat, but his face dropped as soon as he saw you and your smile disappeared just as fast.
------
"Who is that?", you asked Suho, trying to peak over his shoulder at the other girl.
He closed the door and scooted you to the side.
"What do you think you're doing?", Suho said with an angry edge to his voice.
------
Suho was borderline livid that she had the nerve to come to his apartment after she just up and left him seven months ago. Her eyes were still fixated on the door, still wondering who was beyond there in his apartment.
"Who is she?", she asked again not breaking eye contact with the door.
"I think you should leave", he replied as calmly as possible.
"I asked you a question", she said sternly, finally looking him in the eyes.
"If I said she was my girlfriend, what difference would it make?!", he shot back, feeling his anger rise.
Her eyes were a mixture of anger and sadness. Betrayal would be more like it, but she had no right to feel that way and he wasn't going to give in to her. Not anymore. Being with Annie he realized how toxic the relationship he had with her the past five years was. He was ready to move forward not backwards.
"I miss you Suho...I love you. I want you back. I need you back", she said weakly, averting her gaze.
------
There. You said it. You stared at the floor waiting for his answer. You half expected him to take your chin in his hand and lift your face up for a kiss like he used to do and pull you into a hug. But that didn't happen. You mustered up the courage to look up. You were greeted with daggers.
"What did you think was going to happen? Did you really think you could come here, say that, and everything would be okay?!", he spat, his voice slightly higher than normal.
"I just--"
"Why are you even here?!", Suho shouted.
"You were the one who started ignoring me. Started avoiding me. The one who broke up with me...I don't want to hear anything you have to say!"
"I just want a second chance!", you tried to argue back.
"You lost that chance a long time ago. You wanted to be free, now you are. Have a good life", he said with furrowed brows.
He looked at you one last time and walked back into his apartment and closed the door. He walked away and closed the door. He walked away from you and closed you out of his life...
You stood there speechless, face wet with tears that wouldn't stop. He was serious and you knew it. He moved on and you were feeling all the pain you imagined that you put him through when you left him. You walked blindly down the stairs. You got into your car and closed the door. Your hands gripped the steering wheel nervously as you started the car. You lost him, that was it. It was over...
