Your will is mine
Note: This is a story, not a trance. Still, sensitive minds may drift. If you tend to drift, take a moment to anchor yourself first.

Before magic, Jafar whispers half-truths and lies. He convinces the Sultan that Jasmine and the kingdom can only be saved through a marriage plan… and he offers the solution. No spells yet—just persuasion, a delicate dance of trust and doubt.
He raises his staff, rubbing the Serpent Stone. The orb spins, colors twist in hypnotic spirals, a low hum fills the room.
At first, it’s strange. The Sultan stands frozen, eyes widening, yet… calm. A spiral of light spins from the staff, colors twisting, humming low. We watch, unsure. Something is off.
No thoughts, no will of their own. “Your will is mine,”
Then the pull begins. Slowly, inevitably. Thoughts blur. Movements stall. A warmth, a quiet weight, a gentle surrender.
We glance at each other. Confused. The Sultan’s eyes—spirals. A soft hum fills the hall.
And just like that… nothing matters. No orders, no fear, no questions. Only obedience.
All of us, together, floating in that strange, silent calm.
“Your will is mine,” Jafar whispers, and they obey.

Wait I was RIGHT???? About the Sultan?????
I thought this might have been the next villain!
Hala from Pokemon Sun/Moon dressed as the Sultan from Aladdin, requested by @princeasimdiya12! Thanks for sending in this request! It was super fun to draw. I haven't seen Aladdin in a long time, but the Sultan's clothes look so comfy! I love the classic smiling/thumbs up pose and I use it in a lot of my art. I haven't played Pokemon Sun/Moon but I plan on buying the game in the future ^w^
I hope you like it!
For the dvd commentary :) “So what now?” Phillip asks. “We go from seeing them as their parents to seeing them as mentally scarred kids?”“No,” Aladdin shakes his head and steps closer to Jasmine. The genie sinks down to float next to them and rests his hand on Aladdin’s shoulder, “that’s not any better.”
A scene from Grin and Bear It!
So this is something that gets touched on way more in Instructions Not Included. The adults really don’t know who the VKs are. The VKs are both, yet neither, the children of their parents or scarred kids. They are both, but not in the way that the adults expect.
Just like the VKs shouldn’t be treated like their parents, they shouldn’t be treated like their whole personality is a victim. The adults are just beginning to learn that the VKs are complex and rounded people, just like anyone else, and the adults can’t rely on assumptions or stereotypes. Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay are layered with different interests and backstories and the adults know that they can’t just view the VKs as scared and scarred because that belittles them.
Aladdin knows this best because he had an upbringing closest to what the VKs had. He knows better than any of the adults that they can’t diminish the VKs to just sad stories. They deserve better than that.
Send me 500 words from anything I’ve written and I’ll give you the ‘DVD commentary’ for that scene!
I hadn’t been kidding when I said my Christmas fic was gonna be long. I’m at 26 pages so far and maybe a little more than halfway done? It’s gonna be filled with angst and hurt Isle kids.
Enjoy more snippets!

“This is exactly what I knew would happen. Maleficent has taught you no respect for authority, no manners, no discipline!” Phillip snaps and strangers around them are beginning to watch it all unfold. He’s taller and younger, but Mal sees the resemblance to his mother-in-law, feels the eyes on her again and the disdain at her very existence.
She had stayed quiet last time, took it in silence because she feared Queen Leah’s words were true and there would be no point in defending herself. But she is the daughter of Maleficent and Mal isn’t taking this embarrassment without a fight.
“Couldn’t find any dragons to battle, so you’re picking on someone half your age?” Mal spits. “How princely!”

Jay blinks. “Oh. Like Aladdin’s wife?”
She is so much more than Aladdin’s wife. Jasmine loves her husband dearly, but they are equal in their rulership, she is a sultana with or without him and to be known because of her husband is an insult. She grits out a “yes.”
Shock and confusion jump across his face and the confidence falters. But only for one moment, then Jay is strutting up to her with a wink. “Any chance he’s up for a threesome?”

Anita puts a hand to her mouth, eyes widening. “Roger…you don’t think he…he hates us, do you?” She looks at her husband. “We sent his mother off to a place worse than prison.”
“She deserved it!”
“He grew up on the Isle because of us. He may hate us even more than Cruella does. Maybe he ran because he never wants to see us.”
Roger halts his pacing. Cruella had been murderous, cursed their very names as she was taken away, swore her revenge. She was stuck on the Isle, but her son… “Cruella may have sent him to get even. The boy could be here to hurt the dogs?”

Snow White does her best to not think ill of others. Everyone was raised differently.
But goodness gracious, she has never met such a self-absorbed and arrogant child!
Evie had gone through every detail of her work, all the efforts she made and all of her accomplishments. She hadn’t stopped to ask for even one question about Snow and her interests. The girl had spoken only of herself – her fashion, her looks – for the entire conversation.
It’s not Evie’s fault entirely, Snow knows. The young girl had only a Spiteful Queen as her role model. She just needs a guiding hand, some gentle lessons about proper etiquette and manners! Evie is only a child after all, there is still plenty of time for her to learn better ways.
