The short tails synchronized their sheds today
Saros (chrome) & Umbra (black) Python curtus - Sumatran short-tailed pythons. These pair of SSTPs I'm preparing to let go sometime this year or the next. They're absolute sweethearts.
Her oranges and blacks just get better every shed 🤩 okay, okay, stop bothering her, back under her favorite rock to finish shedding
One of my coworkers.
Romeo the sumatran short tail "black blood python" hes my favourite snake at work.
I think she might need a bigger piece of bark
Little Brûlée was having a soak this morning
Brûlée pooped overnight for the first time with me so I took him out for some sunshine while his cage aired out. It's amazing to see the difference in personality short tail pythons can have. My original pair of curtus were very nervous and could be a bit snappy, Brûlée and Chai are sweet, confident, and a bit inquisitive. I'm sure I've gotten better at reading snakes since I had my first pair, and maybe I'm a bit more confident too- but snake intelligence and personality types are just so interesting to me and I'm always taking notes on how individuals of the same species compare.
