District Board at Summer Board

Hello fellow members! I hope you're enjoying your summer so far!

On August 2nd to 4th, District Board met up at Rancho Cucamonga where we had Summer Board, a weekend of work and bonding. During our time there, we discussed about topics such as Fall Rally, KIWIN'S Week, and District Convention! Day 1 of Summer Board included committee meetings, a team building workshop, and watching Toy Story in honor of our DCON theme this year. Day 2 included committee recaps, discussions on KIWIN'S Week, Fall Rally North and South, and District Convention, and board bonding time. Finally our last day was our formal board meeting where we approved topics of discussion from the previous day and our last remarks!

Expect a lot for Fall Rally as the Special Projects Committee did so much in order to make it the best yet this year. Fall Rally North is on November 16th while Fall Rally South is on November 23rd! For KIWIN'S Week on November 4th to the 8th, expect more recognition for clubs and divisions; we want every single one of you to participate. Finally get ready for the best District Convention in San Ramon, CA on April 4th to 6th; up in NorCal this year! See your clubs get recognized, attend workshops, and elect your new District Board. Remember, "You got a friend in KIWIN'S - to service and beyond!"

Aside from all the work we have accomplished that weekend, we also bonded as a board. From our endless selfies to embarrassing derps on Facebook, we have great goals to accomplish. Keep your eye out on any district updates; we have big surprises this year and we want all of you to participate! The District Board Powerhouse is ready for a great incoming school year and hope all of you are as well!
