Its officially summer you guys! Which means the hot summer days are upon us. And because of the heat, I’m bringing you a super unique take on the classic water gun fight. Prepare to get wet.
Preparation for this date idea is crucial, as you're gonna need a few things. Well...mainly water guns. To make this fair, I would recommend you go to your local water gun store (you have those right) and bring $30 to spend on a set. Or $30 for both of you and buy anything within that money limit. You could get really tactical! Next you'll want to head to the Dollar Store and pick up some water balloons, some buckets, and even a sprinkler if they have it. When you get home, you'll want to set up your battlefield. Set up shop in a backyard, park, cottage, etc. and gear up for your water gun war! You’ll be using your main water guns of course, as well as the balloons to throw at each other (hopefully not too hard). Buckets of water can be picked up and used, as well as sprinklers! Want to add some extra fun to the date? Make it a double date with teams and capture the flag! And make sure to pick a hot day of course to take full advantage of the weather. Oh....and one more thing.
Ok, so you could stop reading here and just do the above. You and your significant other would still have a great time! However, I would add one more thing to this date idea....washable markers. Before the battle begins, you’re gonna mark up your partner, and visa-versa. Mark up their skin everywhere! It could be super simple, with coloured lines, or you could get creative and draw on wacky sayings, designs, maybe even a target. The whole idea is that the person who has the most marker on them in the end wins! For added fun, take a before and after picture of your good looking selves to show the world who came up on top.
And there you have it, the first date of the summer. The main thing to remember for this date is location, water guns, and washable markers. Once you have that, you can get as creative as you want. Oh, and if you decide to challenge other couples, just know I’ll be rooting for you.
Remember, make every date a story.
