Then I need something to happen with Robby and Langdon goes to tell yolo and she’s like “wtf why do I care??” And Langdons like “uuuhhh aren’t the two of you together?” And Garcia is so disturbed she yells at Robby to get him. And santos needs to think it’s HILARIOUS until Frank tells her she’s dating her huckleberry

Dennis and Robby would probably just be a bit embarrassed having to say out lod they are together .

double date ficlet idea beneath a cut because it's vaguely spoilery for Academy ep 1.03 and I don't want to give that away for anyone who is trying not to be spoiled.

The cadets all know Jett and Lura are dating after this ep (Reymi is not a secret keeper, also they're adorable).

I can imagine Laira being a big calica fan, maybe they play it out on the freighter rim, or Vance got her into it. (Vance feels sporty to me).

So they're going, and Jett and Lura are very proud of their team, and it's the big official game, nd it's all happy chaos.

so Laira nd Michael are going (but like... unofficially) it's wear a baseball hat and your hair down and no, that's not the president, pay no attention to her security entourage, but they should also have dinner reservations with Lura and Jett because they are adorable.

and Michael's more easily recognizable at first. She's Captain Burnham, she's totally Starfleet superstar (and calica is new, so she's learning all about it) and Michael can be the popular charming one all the cadets want to talk to (because she is, Captain Michel Burnham).

and Laira can be her girlfriend, because most of the cadets are like...too young to vote or they have a vague idea and really, hair down oes a LONG way (but there is the security, and fancy chancellor's dinner with the good outfits (except Ake who doesn't really wear the good outfits much and has no shoes, but she is so cute) so that's fun.

And Tilly is there.

and Michael never went to this Academy, and Laira's formal training at all is probably sketchy. It feels like she did internship and like...pilot community college, so she's out of her element (and haing a great time).

Maybe they're playing the Ni'Var science academy so Michael can have a little divided loyalty. (and some trolling)

and there's the official dinner and the unofficial lets drink ancient whisky on rocky edge of the beach with our shoes off.

and it's been a few days and someone...Jay-den maybe, he's so darling and zen about things, mentions that Laira is the president, not just captain Burnam's vaguely familiar looking alien girlfriend.

Because I need to figure out the banter of a double date with Lura, Jett, Michael and Laira, because that just sounds hilarious to me.
