Description
During his time in Paris, Palmaroli frequently visited Trouville-sur-Mer (Normandy). This beach, a fashionable summer resort for the upper middle class, who often went there in formal attire, was depicted by the painter in numerous works, frequently featuring women in elegant and refined poses, under the overcast skies and leaden light characteristic of the region. The gentleman is the painter's son, Vincent Palmaroli Reboulet.
