how to smell delicious 👡 saltty’s top 10 fragrance recs
over the past few years i’ve been scouring tiktok (and sephora) for alll the best clean, cozy, summery scents… here are my top ten faves and why i like them!!
sol de janeiro 62 is supposed to smell like pistachio and salted caramel but to me smells like a delicious freshly baked chocolate chip cookie!! the bottle color is so fitting for the scent — it’s a super warm, fluffy, vanilla-y, dessert type fragrance. it pairs perfectly with sdj’s bum bum cream!! ☀️
glossier you fleur is suchh a sleeper scent for the coastal girlies! id say it’s a floral for people who hate florals and really smells more like a cozy, fresh, “clean” scent to me than like straight up flowers. no but fr be prepared for plp to ask you what you’re wearing! i’ve gone through like 3 travel size bottles already! 🪻
kayali vanilla 28 smells absolutely delicious! if you couldn’t already tell im definitely a gourmand girl and 28 is literally THE vanilla perfume. while wearing this perfume ive been told i smell edible. no further explanation needed. 🍦
billie eilish no. 1 is another yummy warm sweet gourmand i totally love! i’m a huge fan of her music and it smells exactly like what happier than ever sounds like to me. plus the bottle is so iconic! 🍨
sol de janeiro 38, a coconut-based fragrance, is literally divine and i think ill cry if they don’t make it a permanent part of their body spray line. 38 somehow smells even more appetizing than 62 and lowkey makes me hungry whenever i smell it. it’s so beachy and summery and yum. 🥥
sabrina carpenter sweet tooth is another vanilla fragrance, except even lighter and girlier and sweeter! buy this fragrance if you wanna smell like you taste sugary. you’ll definitely make some mouths water if you’re picking up what i’m putting down. 🧁
saltair saltwater vanilla, of course, is also vanilla (what else is new?) but has a little beachy sea-salt kick to it. smelling saltwater vanilla brings me straight back to all my summer afternoons on the sand. if i had to pick one perfume to perfectly summarize the salttygirl aesthetic, it’d be this one. it even has “salt” in the name! 🧂
phlur missing person smells exactly like a hug. its what’s called a “skin scent” and reminds me so much of the sensation of home. i literally don’t even know what the notes are but it smells so freakin comforting that it should come with a disclaimer saying to not text your ex bc it reminds u of how they smelled. 🫂
burberry goddess is another sophisticated yet sweet baked-goods scent that also kinda reminds me of chocolate chip cookies. also a true vanilla-girl classic. 🍮
replica lazy sunday morning smells like the epitome of a clean girl scent: crisp bedsheets, ice water, freshly showered hair. smells like she’s well. i absolutely love wearing this fragrance on actual sunday mornings! ☁️

Season Quartet Directed by Yoon Seok-Ho
The first series from this quartet that I saw was Summer Scent. This was one of the first kdramas I ever watched and I loved it. I cried a lot while I followed Min Woo and Hye Won as they fell in love. . . Then I saw Spring Waltz and I loved it too. I won’t deny that I cried in this one too, it broke my heart to see Jae Ha give up his identity to ensure Eun Young would get the surgery she needed. . . Then years after, I saw Autumn in My Heart and even though it wasn’t a favorite, it did make me cry too. I couldn’t understand why they had to be separated when they were young and later when they found each other again. . . I could feel their pain as I watched them struggle, all of them. Tonight I finished Winter Sonata, which was the last one I needed to see in order to complete the famous quartet. This story was sad but it didn’t make me cry.
I don’t measure their quality on whether I cried or not, but I do find it interesting that my favorite two (Summer Scent and Spring Waltz) seem to be the ones that didn’t make it big out of the four series. Winter Sonata and Autumn in My Heart seem to be the most famous ones.
As a composition in four parts, these series are in deed a masterpiece. Each connects the season to the love story in a poetic kind of way. They are tear-jerkers because each story is founded on a love that sacrifices, a love that is pure and gives it all. These are imperfect characters and they are struggling with the decisions they made, or the hand fate dealt them.
The Seasons are a love story made up four individual love stories, where each couple needs to overcome heart-breaking situations in order to be together. Some of these only had flying moments together, others had forever ahead of them, but the one common denominator was the love they shared that was so intense and pure that shown in their season: winter, spring, summer and autumn.
Based around the dress ‘Torrid Summer’.
