Summer homework is bullying me
To be fair, they knew the concept and just needed a gentle reminder!
My notes from tonight (May 30/17) for my Methods & Statistics summer class. Looking really clean, organized and "professional" for the most part; which for me is a rare thing. I'm definitely enjoying this clean, easy to read look, and I plan to keep it up throughout all 3 summer courses this year, and any future classes/seminars/etc. that I go to in my life. It's so much easier to understand stuff when I go back and read it again later as well (including when I write my take-home tests); which removes a lot of the test anxiety for me.
5.26.2018 Day 21/100 days of productivity It me, back at it again with working over the break! Today I studied Polish and bought my books for my summer homework, as well as did some yard work. It is now pleasantly raining I look forward to a relaxed and productive evening.
my favourite thing about my job right now is the fact that all the lawyers are letting me sit in on their meetings. Not because I’ll get anything out of them, but so that they can turn around and be like
“ This bitch am I right?”
Another member of the MobileMABELLE Team is our Summer Student, Farah Jibril:
Farah Jibril’s first memory of Jumblies Theatre is Bridge of One Hair, their final production in 2007, in which, at age 12, she performed as a pigeon, tea-server and a clown. She continued to work with Jumblies and then MABELLEarts in subsequent years, taking part in Lantern Garden and building things for the park including the park benches, bake oven, and gardens. Farahjust completed her first year studying Social Work at York University. For the past two summers, Farah has worked at MABELLEarts as a summer student in the position of Art and Garden Facilitator. In this role, Farah helps in the office and studio, with phone-calling community participants, snack preparation, child supervision, and one-on-one participant support. She also helps with community projects, including planting and maintaining the new gardens, building outdoor furniture and helping facilitate workshops, celebrations and events. Farah really enjoys being part of the summer building projects and hopes that the Mabelle Park will soon be lit up at night, so that the park will feel safer, and can be a place for the community to continue to come together after-dark.
