You: Queen of Swords (reverse) - Bluntly speaking, the Queen of Swords can be considered the unliked matriarch, embodying the worst of feminine qualities such as bitchiness and self-centeredness. For this card to appear in lieu of “you” might suggest that you have been coming off cold or rude lately. Or, inversely, as the opposite as overemotional. This card might need to be read as a warning against allowing you to succumb to the worst of yourself and you need to rebalance yourself socially or emotionally.

Together: The Tower (upright) - This card suggests disaster. It suggests sudden upheavals and the unexpected. However, it can also suggest change and revelation. This card doesn’t bode well as an indicator of you and your mystery person’s synergy so it too should be read as a warning against common disasters in relationships such as poor communication and whatnot.

Them: The Five of Cups (upright) - This card suggests letting go or the final stage in the process of grieving. It suggests examining things and their emotional connections between them and subject. Perhaps they had a break-up recently or perhaps there has been something challenging in their emotional life.

As a spread, the clearest, linking theme is one of not being emotionally ready for love. To me it feels like a forewarning of the worst that can happen. We’ve got a minor arcana majority versus the major arcana minority which is interesting.
