Sun Up

early mornings of summer and fall remind me of waking up in your bed the sun already up and kissing your forehead

light spilling through half-broken blinds painting your skin in gold and quiet like the world knew to soften itself so it wouldn't wake us too soon

your breath was a rhythm I memorized something between prayer and a promise and I stayed still just to keep it going afraid even time might interrupt

we had nowhere to be but there wrapped in sheets and almosts talking in murmurs and lazy smiles like nothing outside could touch us

coffee went cold on the counter hours slipped like loose threads and still I chose your heartbeat over anything the day could offer

now mornings feel too loud like the sun comes up just to spite me and every empty pillow reminds me how easy it was to believe you'd stay

early mornings of summer and fall don't feel like seasons anymore just echoes of something warm I wasn't ready to lose

I never finished this Tom/Hanz comic from last year, BUT it is good enough where I wanted to post it…. Now, after I’ve had some distance LOLLL… it’s the moment Hanz can speak again after the crazy drug trip :)

These three images of our backyard were taken on the same day. The first, at 0630, gave us a hint of what was to come. The next, at 0945, was just before the forest disappeared from view. And finally, 12 hours after the first, Mother Nature produced another breathtaking view at sundown.

Scotland's Highlands - where all four seasons in a day is really nothing out of the ordinary. I love this place.
