He was recommended to Jun, and Jun knows that it also meant that Aiba recommended Jun to him. These kinds of things go both ways. - 64907

♰ The Sunblades ♰
The following is my headcanon write up for the Sunblades, in regards to both my OCs and the Sunblades found in-game
Tʜᴇ Bʟᴏᴏᴅʟɪɴᴇ
Prior to learning of the Sunblades’ existence in-game, I had established that the Sunblades were a powerful noble bloodline consisting of elite paladins highly respected in the elven society. The Sunblades were a rich and powerful family back in their prime, their name having been directly influenced by their heirloom weapon, the legendary Sunblade itself.
There are many cousins of this family tree that inherit the name, but only one particular branch of the bloodline is known to still be living. This is, again, information I have written up prior to learning about the Sunblades.
Tʜᴇ Lᴀsᴛ Lᴏʀᴅ
Lord Syan Sunblade :: A powerful paladin and well revered noble in his prime was the last known Lord in the family, as well as the last wielder of the Sunblade. He fathered (to his dismay) twins, daughters by the names of Neo’la and Seaandra. Because these twins were females, they could not be a suitable heir, and could not pass down the name, and thus were treated poorly. Around the time of their birth began the gradual decline of the Sunblades’ reputation and reverence. Lord Syan has since perished approximately one year before the beginning of the Third War, thus marking the end of the Sunblade line (as the name can no longer be passed down).
Tʜᴇ Oᴛʜᴇʀs
Neo’la and Seaandra have lived some time under the belief that they were the last of the Sunblade bloodline (the rest of the family having perished during the First and Second War, and against the destruction of the Sunwell) but there were other surviving members unbeknownst to them. Other living members (being that of other’s brilliant OCs) would be Sir Anierous Sunblade [@anierous] and Threrian Sunblade [@threrian--sunblade]. Their family trees differ from mine, but are nonetheless, considered Family. Several other NPCs found in-game share the same surname, two of which being Kal’dorei with no real explanation. This further proves that the family has several cousins that survived the countless tragedies the Sin’dorei have faced, and provide a greater hope for expanding the Sunblade family name.

In-game, the name “Sunblade” appears to be more of a title rather than a name, let alone a surname. This is in regards to the group of elves found on Quel’Danas, and not the NPCs listed in the ‘Kin’ section.
The Sunblade are group of blood elves loyal to Kael'thas Sunstrider who guard the Magisters' Terrace and the Sunwell Plateau on the Isle of Quel'Danas from interlopers.
The origins of these Sunblades is not specified anywhere, so the following is purely speculation, headcanon, and my own implementation.
Oʀɪɢɪɴs
The Highbourne paladins, the Sunblades was a large family of a high class and reputation, consisting mainly of the wielders of the Light. The vast family was scattered throughout Silvermoon, various branches of the family serving different purposes and consisting of different reputations.
Many of the branches of the Sunblades who were thought to have been killed off during the attack on the Sunwell had actually survived and followed Kael’thas into the Outlands. Most of them had also indulged themselves in the usage of fel energy, and were devoted to Kael’thas’s cause.
After Kael’thas’s defeat in Tempest Keep, the Sunblades remaining took up other elves who served for Sunstrider’s cause, purely to gain numbers and serve well. Alongside their powerful counterparts, the Dawnblades, they moved back to their homeland and aided Kael’thas in stealing M’uru away from the Blood Knights’ custody.
These Sunblades established themselves on the Isle of Quel’danas, most being blood related to the name, others simply taking the name as a title. The original Sunblades no longer honored their family bloodline, and used the name only to identify themselves as those who fought for the Sun King. The Sunblade Army was incredibly powerful, and provided a great aid to Kael’thas in the Magister’s Terrace.
Because of the integration of non-blood related elves into the Sunblades army, it is difficult to tell who is family and who isn’t. As a result, the remaining Sunblades who did not join Kael’thas simply disregard this branch of the family, as they were both traitors and a waste of time.
Today, most of the Sunblade Army has diminished follower Sunstrider’s fall. Some still live, most as only Felblood Elves or wretched. This army is not to be confused with the Sunblade family living in Silvermoon, though sometimes, the name can carry a dark shadow when mentioned, due to the association it bears with Kael’thas.
