I saw your Sunflower Sun and Purple Datura Moon AU and I am loving the designs; do they exhibit any other traits of the flowers? If I remember correctly sunflowers follow the sun and moon flowers close their petal tight during the day. Also, aren’t moonflowers poisonous?

Sun typically can’t see the actual sun when he’s working, but the design of the building they work in allows LOADS of sunlight to pour in and his petals (rays) tend to lean in whatever direction the sun is at the moment! It’s a great way to tell time :D He also gets really tired when the sun starts to set, which is usually when him and Moon switch shifts.
As for Daturas, aka Moonflowers, aka Moon Pie over here, they typically close their petals during the hottest points of the day, or around the time there’s the most sunlight, and open back up in the evening when the sun starts to set. So you’re correct! Moon can be up when there is sunlight though, he just doesn’t like to because he’s not a morning person.
Moonflowers are technically poisonous? Yes, you can die if you consume a fatal dose of seeds, but most people who die like that just don’t think about the dose they’re taking and take too much. (Which is really easy to do, the fatal dose is like 15+ seeds depending on your weight) For the most part though, they’re deliriants (hallucinogens) and can REALLY mess you up if you ingest too many of them. Medicinally, their seeds as well as blossoms can be used for improving sleep quality, and achieving more REM and deep sleep. (I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS ON YOUR OWN, SERIOUSLY)
Anyways, I’m getting off topic. Moonie can cause some serious hallucinations (visual and sound) if you inhale too much of his pollen, some of which can last 2 days or more! This helps deal with some thieves :)
