Question: “Could the Shaikh give us some words of benefit for the blessed month of Ramadaan, on this fine occasion?”

Shaikh al-Albaanee, may Allah have mercy upon him replied:

“Allah, the Exalted and Most High, says in the Noble Quraan:

O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may become people having Taqwaa. Soorah al-Baqarah (2):183

LUNAR ECLIPSE: What to do? The Messenger of Allah, (sws), said: ‘The sun and the moon are two signs from Allaah, and they do not become eclipsed for the death or the birth of anyone. If you see that, hasten to remember Allaah and to pray.'

' Call on Allaah and pray until [the eclipse] is over.' - (Bukhari & Muslim)

'These signs that Allaah sends are not for the death or life of anyone, but Allaah makes His slaves afraid through them, so if you see anything of that [eclipses], then hasten to remember Allaah and call on Him and seek His forgiveness.' -(Bukhari)

Two rakaats of salaat are sunnah at the time of lunar eclipse (khusoof). People should offer this salaat at their homes individually.
